Where Stella Meets Water (水迎え星) is a single-path visual novel about a boy who trusts only what can be proven, standing beside a girl the town is slowly forgetting. Until now, the demo was Japanese only. As of today, it can be read start to finish in English.
What's translated
The complete script of the demo — all six chapters, around two and a half hours of reading.
Every menu and system screen: settings, saves and loads, the backlog, credits, and confirmation dialogs.
Character names, chapter titles, and the choices themselves.
The script of the full game is translated as well, so English will be supported from day one when the complete version releases.
How to switch languages
You'll find 日本語 / English buttons in the lower right of the title screen, and again at the top of the Settings screen. You can switch at any point — mid-scene, mid-conversation — and the story continues from exactly where you were. The backlog switches with you, so lines you've already read appear in the language you're currently using. Your choice is remembered the next time you start the game.
A note from the developer
This is a solo project, made by one person in Japan. Adding English roughly doubled the amount of text I have to keep straight, and I'd rather hear about a mistake than let it sit there — if you spot a line that reads oddly, or text that overflows its window, please let me know in the discussion forum.
Thank you for reading. I hope you'll give the demo a try.
