We Added Twitch Integration

Hello tadpoles 🐸 !

An Amazing New Feature!

After studying the docs, searching for tutorials and a lot of trial and error, we've finally been able to make the Twitch integration work with our game.

From now on, anyone who wishes to stream Frog Pond Simulator, will be able to let their chat interact with the game using commands, but not everyone... only those who's name is assigned to a frog will be able to take control of it! So it's up to you how to make use of this feature 😉

How to enable it?

The feature is pretty simple, nothing fancy. By default the integration is disabled, so in order to enable it the streamer needs to go to the "Gameplay" settings, scroll down and enable it. Then, in the bottom left corner they'll be able to toggle it on/off, of course you'll need to authenticate using the browser to login and generate a token that the app will use for connecting.

In addition, in order to allow the spectators to see the commands they can use through the chat, the streamer can add the twitch extension, accessible via the "Gameplay" settings, (you'll see a text saying "Get the Twitch Extension") it will open in the browser so the streamer can add it as an overlay on top of their stream, and a small balloon with a tooltip will hover on top of their livestream.

How to use it?

Once twitch is connected, the streamer can rename pretty much any frog with the name of any of its spectators. After that, only the spectator with matching name will be able to use commands on that frog. You can see the available commands in the screenshot below or using the Extension during the livestream.

We're looking forward to seeing if you'll appreciate this new feature, it was a headache to get it to work, so hopefully you'll enjoy it!
