Rescue Era Sinus Medii

  • A late mushroom milestone now makes the walker faster on foot.

  • Foragers and mushrooms sometimes arrive as a whole patch in one place instead of one at a time.

  • Some adjustments on forager-supply mainly on hard difficulty to keep gameplay flowing.

  • Asteroids come in on angles the difficulty sets, instead of the one spread every difficulty shared.

  • Previous eras remain playable and keep taking scores. You can switch rescue era ruleset and leaderboard from the settings. Sinus Medii is already available and will become default era on the 11th of September.

Added:

  • An experimental control scheme for a one-button digital joystick on an adapter, switched on in the controls settings. The button is the engine or the jump, up shoots, down is the action, and left and right steer. Menus confirm on the button's release and go back by holding it and pushing left or down.

  • You can report a display name on the online leaderboard. Pick out a row with the keys, the pad or the pointer, then confirm to open the report.

  • The main menu says SIGNED IN AS and your name for a few seconds once the sign-in lands.

Changed:

  • Steering with a stick is analogue. The turn rate now follows how far the stick is pushed, so a small push turns the ship slowly. This applies both to gamepads and virtual stick.

Fixed:

  • A gamepad button rebind should now work more reliably.

  • Keyboard backspace in a name field now erases the character behind the caret instead of the one under it.

  • The in-game action prompt is hidden while the game is paused. It shared the center slot with the pause menu's control hints.

  • A run whose name the leaderboard redacted no longer shows up twice on the game over boards.

  • The settings say why AUTO: PLATFORM NAME is unavailable instead of the option quietly not being there, in the case a platform service can't supply a name.

  • Three achievements that shared a name with another one in some languages got their own names, so no two achievements read alike in any language.
