Hi everyone!Karma Keepers is finally out. Honestly, I'm still getting used to that. Launch week was a lot, but seeing people start their first realms and hearing what you think has made it worth it.Thank you to everyone who has played, reported a bug, left a review, or told me when something didn't make sense. The launch made pretty clear that the beginning of the game can be confusing. I've played so many times that I know what every button and upgrade is meant to do, which isn't the same as explaining it well to someone playing for the first time. That's on me, and I'm working on it.This update won't solve all of that, but it's a start.

What's new?

Hold AssistThere's a lot of clicking and holding in Karma Keepers. That can get tiring, and it isn't comfortable for everyone, so there is now a Hold Assist option under Accessibility in the Settings menu.

Turn it on and you can tap Space to keep interacting with the world under your cursor. Tap it again to stop. Purchases and upgrades also change to a single click instead of a hold.

A little help through the Blessing treeThe Blessing tree has also been a common point of confusion. It gives you a lot of choices before you know which upgrades will start automating the work.Important Blessings that lead toward early automation now have a marker. Hover over one to see the upgrades that will get you there. You can still build your realm however you like. The marker is only there if you want a little direction.

Summon five souls at onceThis is a small one, but useful. Hold Shift while summoning from the Realm menu to summon up to five souls at once. Growing a busy realm should be a little less repetitive now.

No more souls behind the minimap! (Well, mostly...)

A lot of you reported souls disappearing behind the minimap, and yes, they seemed very fond of that corner. When the camera is near the bottom-right of the realm, souls will now try to steer away from the area underneath it. The "mostly" is there because they are still tiny wandering souls, and I know better than to make absolute promises about them. They should be much easier to see and interact with now.

A couple of balance changes

I also made two small pricing adjustments.

  • Later levels of Orb Totem Capacity are now less expensive.

  • The Faith Value upgrade has a slightly different price curve.

A few fixes from launch week

  • Fixed very quick clicks sometimes not registering on some systems.

  • Fixed startup crashes on some Windows PCs. The game now tries another graphics option if the default one fails. (It was using Vulkan always, now tries DirectX12 first and if it fails uses Vulkan).

  • Fixed an upgrade instruction appearing in English while playing in another language.

  • Reworded the Karma tooltip to better explain how Ascension Points appear while progressing through a tier.

What's next?

I wanted to get these changes out quickly instead of holding them back for a larger update. Please keep telling me when something is confusing or doesn't behave properly on your setup. You can leave a comment here or email me at [email protected]. If you had to click around until something worked, look something up, or just felt lost, I want to know.I'm making Karma Keepers on my own, and that feedback helps me see the parts I've become too familiar with. I'll keep making the beginning clearer and smoothing out the small things that get in the way. More updates will come as I learn from how everyone plays. Thanks for being here, and thanks for playing!

Major update24 Aug 2026Update 1.2 is here! Less holding, clearer tutorials, and better gamepad supportHi everyone! When Update 1.1 came out I said it was only a start and I really meant it. Thank you to everyone who has played and sent feedback. A lot of the changes in these two updates came directly from your comments, reviews, bug reports, and Discord messages. Since launch I've been going through the parts of Karma Keepers that felt harder to understand or more tiring than they needed to be.…Steam news13 Aug 2026Karma Keepers is out now!Hi everyone! Karma Keepers is out now on Steam. This is my first game. I've spent almost two years making it on my own, including the engine underneath it. I've looked at these tiny souls for so long that seeing a Buy button where the Wishlist button used to be feels a little unreal. To celebrate the release, Karma Keepers is 40% off for the first two weeks . What kind of game is it? Karma Keep…Major update14 Jul 2026Demo 1.0 is live! Full release on August 13Hi everyone! The Karma Keepers demo has reached version 1.0 . The demo had fallen several months behind the full game, so I have finally brought it back up to date. This should be the last major demo update before release. What changed? There is no single huge feature in this update. Most of the work went into making the whole game feel better: · Updated balance and progression · Controller and…
