Patch 0.2.5 - Wardrobe System Update

Dark Light: Survivor · published 7 Aug 2026, 10:05 UTC · build 24585905

All newsPlayers around this dateRead on Steam

Hi Everyone,

The Wardrobe System is now live!

This was one of the features requested by the community, and you can now unlock different armour skins and customize how your character looks without having to give up the gear you actually want to use. We’ve also added brand new armour sets that have never been seen before, giving you even more ways to customize your look.

Your equipped armour will still provide all of its normal stats and bonuses, but you can choose a completely different armour appearance on top of it.

To get started:

  • Visit the Keeper of Seal at the top of Nexus Hold to unlock new armour skins.

Speak to Sergeant Rick Harker to access the Wardrobe and change your armour appearance.

If you select Default, your character will continue to visually use whatever armour you currently have equipped, just like before.

We’ve also added an option to hide your helmet, so if you prefer seeing your character’s face, you can keep the helmet hidden regardless of what you equip.

Different armour skins have different unlock requirements. Some can be unlocked using Void or Void Stones, while others may require you to reach certain kill targets or defeat specific bosses.

We’ll continue adding more armour skins and new armour models as development continues.

Other Improvements

Alongside the Wardrobe System, this update also includes a number of bug fixes, performance improvements, and optimizations to help the game run more smoothly.

Optimization is something we’ll continue working on while we develop our next major update, which will include Endless Mode and the new Quest System.

We’re also working on another community requested feature: the Permanent Armour System.

The current idea is that during certain in-game events, you’ll have a chance to extract one armour piece from your run and keep it permanently. The system is still being developed, so we’ll share more details once it’s further along.

New enemies and new maps are also currently in development.

We’re a small indie team, so some of these larger features can take a little longer to build, test, and polish. We really appreciate everyone’s patience and support while we keep expanding the game.

We’re also very active in the community, so if you have an idea, suggestion, or run into a bug, please post it in the community discussions. We regularly read your feedback and will do our best to investigate and fix issues as quickly as we can.

Thank you again to everyone who has supported the game so far.

If you’re enjoying Dark Light: Survivor, please consider leaving us a review. Reviews help us massively as a small indie team and allow us to keep improving and expanding the game.
