A real aquarium, living on your desktop
Hello, and welcome to the Nanoquarium hub. 👋
Nanoquarium is a little aquarium that lives in the corner of your screen. Pop the tank out and the fish drift over your open windows while you work — your clicks pass straight through to whatever you're doing. All the joy of a fish tank, none of the water changes.
- 🐠 200+ real-world fish across tropical, coldwater & reef tanks — each modelled on a real animal, right down to how it behaves and breeds
- 🧬 Breed your own rare ones — colour passes down to the fry and drifts a little each time, so a line slowly becomes yours
- 🪟 Window, tiny corner, or a click-through desktop overlay — the fish swim over your apps while you work
- ☕ No fail state, ever — nothing dies of neglect, the tank ticks over while you're away, and the only decision that matters is which fish to breed next
I bred tropical fish for years. I don't keep tanks any more — but this is the one I get to keep now: all the highs of the hobby, none of the lows.
Nanoquarium is Coming Soon on Steam. If it sounds like your kind of calm, the single most helpful thing you can do is wishlist it 👇 — it genuinely moves the needle for a one-person studio, and you'll get a ping the moment it's out.
And this hub is yours as much as mine: tell me which fish and features you'd like next, show off your tanks, and shout if anything looks off. The roster and the roadmap are honestly steered by the people who play it.
Thanks for being here this early. See you in the tank. 🐠
