Patch 0.1.1

Dark Light: Survivor · published 17 May 2026, 06:38 UTC · build 23272113

All newsPlayers around this dateRead on Steam

Hi everyone,

We have released a quick emergency patch over the weekend.

Fixes and improvements:

  • Fixed a rare bug where the player could become immortal.

  • Optimized memory usage.

  • Unloaded the starting train after leaving it to free up memory.

  • Unloaded the three character models and their equipped armor from the character selection screen after entering the game to reduce memory usage.

  • Removed unused textures.

  • Updated the Steam Deck-related text to “Optimized,” while keeping the Steam Deck login behavior unchanged.

  • Added a guaranteed first time loading screen tip explaining the basic map flow:

    -Loot boxes

    -Buy weapons from NPCs

    -Upgrade weapons

  • Improved the map unlock system. Instead of requiring Void Stones to be submitted one by one, players can now freely choose how many to submit.

Important note:

After updating the game, we recommend restarting Steam before launching Dark Light: Survivor. This can help prevent some update related issues.

We are still working on Steam Deck support. This patch is not the final fix yet, but we are making progress.

Thank you everyone for your patience, feedback, and support.

Best,

Mirari
