Hello from the SLAM TANK team!
Thank you to everyone who played the demo and shared your experience with us on the first day of Steam Next Fest!
We're following your feedback closely and reading through the thoughts you send our way. From the moments you enjoyed to controls that felt uncomfortable and fights that could be better, your feedback helps us make SLAM TANK a better game.
Our Day 1 patch brings more display and control options, clearer enemy attack cues, and adjustments to the boss fight and enemy behavior.
Make the controls and display your own
- Added an option to turn motion blur on or off.
- Added options to turn camera shake on or off and adjust its strength.
- Added a field of view setting.
- Added separate horizontal and vertical camera inversion options for mouse and gamepad.
- You can now enable or disable the frame rate cap and adjust it from 30 to 240 FPS in increments of 1.
- Made the confirmation message clearer when leaving without applying changes.
Clearer combat cues

- Increased the size of attack warning effects for the Dump Truck and Roll Cutter.
- Adjusted the timing of attack warning effects and sounds, and added missing warning sounds.
- Updated attack warnings and hit detection during the Roll Cutter's charge attacks.
- Enlarged and improved the alignment of item and skill button prompts at the bottom of the combat HUD.
Train boss adjustments
- Added a tutorial explaining how to ram after the boss's introduction.
- Adjusted the train's rampage attack to give nearby players more time to react to the first charge.
- Added a horn cue to each charge during the rampage and adjusted its movement speed by difficulty.
Controller support and fixes
- Fixed an issue where skills would not activate with LB + skill button on gamepad when the frame rate was low.
- Added PlayStation button prompts when using a DualSense controller and improved vibration support.
- Fixed an issue where camera rotation could stop when the cursor reached the edge of the window in certain mouse input setups.
- Fixed an issue where Cargo Runners could stop moving or fail to approach the player near certain walls and barriers.
- Reduced excessive overlapping sounds when the Roll Cutter's rocks hit in rapid succession.
- Improved the Cargo Runner model and some environmental props.
