The Jump Space Free Weekend starts in 1 day, so we're working fast to make the game as smooth as possible with the new update for all the new players coming in.
What's New Screen: Added a "What's New" window to the Main Menu to keep you up to date on the latest changes.
Threat Level Rewards: Mission Threat Level rewards now scale up to threat level 10, offering greater progression for high-difficulty runs. Before, Threat Level 6-8 had the same rewards as Level 5.
Ship Status Effect Descriptions: All ship status effects now have descriptions, with localization available across all supported languages.
Chest Loot Variety: Chests in the Data Center will now have more varied loot, reducing the chance of seeing the same items repeatedly.
Materia Cloud: Improved the feel and responsiveness of materia cloud collection.
Blueprint Naming: Blueprint names are now limited to 20 characters when naming or renaming a blueprint, to avoid out of bounds text. Old names for Blueprints are not affected.
Backpack Persistence: Items in your backpack are no longer carried over between missions, ensuring a fresh start each run and preventing things like Scrap to erroneously exist in the Hangar.
Multitool: Updated the beam visual effect for the Multitool.
Buddy Bot Menu: The buddy bot ordering wheel will now automatically close if you die, the ship jumps, or a cutscene plays to prevent bugs.
Utility Items in Hangar: Utility item purchases in the hangar are instant again.
Camera Settings: Field of view settings are now correctly applied during loading screens, preventing players from accidentally overriding them too early.
Gamepad Movement: Fixed an issue where gamepad controls for piloting a ship were extremely slow in ultrawide resolutions.
Item Pickup: Fixed a bug where players could not pick up weapons or utility items even when they had free slots available in their backpack or main slots.
Bonus Ingot Rewards: Fixed bonus ingot rewards not showing up on the Mission Outcome screen.
Enemy Icons: Fixed missing or incorrect icons appearing on enemies during Data Breach missions.
Golden Chest Loot Icons: Fixed loot icons from golden chests incorrectly persisting for radioactive keys after completing an objective.
Halberd Description: Fixed the Halberd item having a missing description.
Extinguisher and Repair Tool: Fixed an issue preventing the fire extinguisher and repair tool from being placed in their wall mounts.
Ammo Display: Fixed the ammo counter showing the wrong number in the backpack and immediately after picking up a weapon.
Item Dropping: Fixed an issue where dropping an item you were not currently holding could cause your held item to behave unexpectedly.
Door Lock: Fixed a progression blocker where a Multi-Tool lock requiring two players would block solo players from advancing.
Tutorial UI: Fixed the "Leave Sensor Mode" hint remaining on screen after exiting sensor mode during the tutorial.
Player Clipping: Fixed an issue where players could be pushed outside of tight spaces such as vents when crouch-jumping and sliding rapidly.
HUD Ship Targeting: Fixed a crash that could occur when the HUD targeted or untargeted a ship that had already despawned.
EMP Shield Restore: The EMP Shield Restore ship item now works correctly for all players in a session.
Steam Deck Navigation: Fixed UI navigation issues on Steam Deck that were accidentally reverted in a previous update.
Xbox Ownership: Fixed an issue with ownership certificates on Xbox not refreshing correctly.
Drone AI: Flying drones will no longer stop attacking when they lose sight of their target.
Improved performance when applying large numbers of visual effects to enemies simultaneously.
Significantly improved performance when enemies have many Corrosion stacks applied to them. This should no longer lead to crashing if too many stacks get applied.
