Little Fixes and Cards You Can Actually See

Every card in the game already did what it promised — but a lot of them did it silently, and if you can't see a card working, it may as well not be there. So we went through the whole deck and gave each effect a moment of its own.

🔮 Special tiles got a personality

Neon Cable now behaves like actual neon. The tiles glow, hum and flicker, and when you set one off, a crackling arc of electricity shoots across the board to its twin before the whole area detonates in a shockwave. You can finally see the link between the two cables instead of guessing.

Phantom Cell drifts and breathes like something that isn't quite there. When it relocates, it doesn't just blink to a new spot — it collapses, streaks across the board and rematerialises, flickering unsteadily before it settles.

Safe Zone is a real shield now, a hexagonal barrier humming over its tile (and staying strictly inside it). Lose that tile and the shield shatters into pieces, with the shapes you just paid clearly shown on the spot.

Selective Blindness no longer eats your blocks in the confusion of a line clear. The removals now happen a moment later, one at a time, imploding in a dark pulse so you actually watch the cost land.

Decaying Rift gets tense on its last two ticks — the countdown starts pulsing faster and glowing harder. When it finally closes a cell, the ring collapses inward and leaves a dark scar behind. Every other effect in the game bursts outward; this one swallows.

🛡️ The saves you never knew you got

Some cards work by making something bad not happen — which meant you never noticed them at all. Not anymore:

Combo Shield slams a barrier over your combo bar, takes the hit and cracks apart. Your bar flashes cyan instead of red, because you didn't lose anything.

Soft Landing shows your multiplier drop… and get caught halfway. It's a brake, and now it looks like one.

Momentum Shield goes full screen. The board dims like the run is over — then the shield comes down and saves it. RUN SAVED.

🌟 Perfect Clear

Emptying the entire board is the biggest thing you can do in this game, and it used to happen in complete silence. Now it's a white flash, golden rings blowing outward from the centre, and a wave rolling across the empty board. It finally feels like the moment it is.

🧮 See where your score comes from

Every clear now shows the chain of multipliers that produced it, right under your score — x2.4 COMBO · x1.1 BONUS · x3 SLOW BURN. Only the multipliers that actually did something show up, so the line stays readable. Cards like Score Multiplier, Card Collector, Heavy Load, Diet Plan and Slow Burn used to work invisibly in the background. Now you can watch them stack.

Line Master and Tunnel Vision also read at a glance: the scoring axis clears in gold, the other one fades out in grey. You learn the rule by playing, not by re-reading the card.

👀 Know before you commit

Ghost Drop now highlights free placements while you're aiming. Hover a spot that touches nothing and the preview lights up green and pulses. Hunting for that spot is the whole point of the card — now you can actually hunt.

First Picks makes its rotation lock obvious immediately: the Q/E keys go red with a slash through them and the hint tells you how many free shapes are left. No more pressing rotate and wondering why nothing happens.

Bounty Hunter coins now burst out of the cleared line and fly straight to the card that earned them. Hover the card and it'll tell you how much gold it's made you this run.

Speaking of which — every card tooltip now shows its running total. Cards told you what they do; now they tell you what they've actually done for you this run.

🔧 Fixes

Decaying Rift could end your run unfairly. If its countdown hit zero on the same turn you cleared a line, it could close the very space you'd just opened and end the run then and there. It now waits — the rift holds until you've got room to spare.

Game over now tells you why. No more generic "run over" — you'll see whether you ran out of moves, ran out of shapes, or got locked in by First Picks.

Line Master / Tunnel Vision were lying about points. Tiles on the non-scoring axis were flying score numbers to your scoreboard that were never added. Fixed.

Black screen after alt-tabbing. Some players saw the game turn into a blank coloured screen after clicking away for 10–15 seconds. Fixed — it keeps running in the background now.

Thanks for all the reports — a couple of these came straight from you.
