Attention recruits!

We’ve told you what Appulse is and how it blends pinball, top-down shooter and roguelite to create a truly unique game. But we haven’t told you much about why you find yourself in space facing waves of enemies.

In Appulse you play as T1-LT, a spherical combat weapon. You were invented by Elias Vektor, but more about him later.

In another galaxy, within deep space, a war rages between your faction and the Iron Accord. Pinpointing the exact moment or event that caused war now would be impossible but the time for negotiation and diplomacy is over. Armies of robots patrol the empty space of the universe and invade the trespassing fleets. There is no choice but to fight to survive. Through these battles you are able to upgrade and refine your skills, bringing more damage, more speed to your side as you push back the hordes of invading bots that infiltrated your ships.

Survival is only part of the reason you fight. A strange and unknown signal, referred to as the Elysium Event, appeared at the edge of the galaxy. Intel suggests it could be something to turn the tide of the war, bring great power or disaster to whoever reaches it first. It must be you! Whatever the signal means it cannot be risked that it falls into the hands of the Iron Accord!

An illusive and mysterious trillionaire who began his career at 17 in entertainment before pivoting to the defence industry. No reliable information exists about the physical location of Elias. But as the founder of Vektor Dynamics and the creator of the T1-LT Unit, his guidance is included as part of your programming. So, as your progress and upgrade, you may be able to learn a little more about him...

Now you know why you find yourself in the centre of this galactic war and the importance of being the first to reach the Elysium Event, it’s up to you to master the recoil and push onwards to glory!
