This is a living document and will be updated during the beta. The festive wonder is made available during beta so that it can be easily tested.

Hello CivIdlers!

I am happy to present to you Patch 1.3. This content patch is rather unique: it was not planned, as I am busy working on my upcoming game Restitutor (more on that later). However, while working on Restitutor, there were certain ideas that didn’t quite work out. Instead of discarding them, I spent some time going through those ideas, picked the ones that would work for CivIdle, and ported them over. So while this patch doesn’t add a lot of content, the content it adds brings very unique gameplay features.

New Civilization: Dutch

Unique Buildings

Mauritshuis (Capitalism)

For each level of Mauritshuis, a painting by a Dutch painter is discovered (30 paintings in total). These paintings can be arranged in the gallery to gain various bonuses

Wind Turbine (Urbanization)

=> Power x1
Every 5 Wind Turbine level gives +1 Production Multiplier to adjacent power plants

Natural Wonders

Keukenhof

+X Happiness. X = number of different resources produced or consumed within 3 tile range

Great People

Rembrandt van Rijn (Renaissance Age)

+2 Production Multiplier, Storage Multiplier for Painter's Guild

Antonie van Leeuwenhoek (Renaissance Age)

+2 Production Multiplier, Storage Multiplier for Lens Workshop

Vincent van Gogh (Industrial Age)

+2 Production Multiplier, Storage Multiplier for Wind Turbine

Festival: Koningsdag

Keukenhof grants buildings within 3 tiles a Production Multiplier equal to 25% of Happiness it provides. Mauritshuis' Painter Collection Bonus and Diversification Bonus are doubled.

New Festive Wonder: Midsummer

Provide +X Building Level Boost to all buildings with Y tile range. X = Production Multiplier that building receives from Age Wisdom. Y = Midsummer's level. This wonder can only be constructed during the midsummer period (6.10 ~ 6.30)
Construction Cost: Alcohol x152.9K

New Achievements

Natural Wonders Improvement 2.0

In the 1.2 patch notes, I mentioned that I had fixed natural wonder generation so that they wouldn’t overlap with each other. It turns out that was not the case. So I’m trying again in this patch - hopefully this addresses the issue.

Other Fixes

  • Fix a bug where Carthage erroneously gains an additional +200% Base Storage for Markets, Warehouses and Caravansaries
  • The runtime framework (Electron) has been updated to the latest version. This means Windows 7/8/8.1 is no longer supported

Restitutor Progress Report

Lastly, allow me to give an update on Restitutor. Development is progressing well, and the gameplay framework is more or less in place with the latest Patch 0.6 Economy Overhaul. Next, I am focusing on adding more content, which includes more research, more buildings, and more events. I am also adding more flavor content to each province. The goal is to have a public demo in June, which will focus on Lugdunensis.

The playtest is still ongoing and is available to all. If you want to join before the public demo, join our Discord server and give me a ping!

Game update4 Sep 2026New Player Trade Limit For Account LevelHi, The trading server has been updated with limit for different account levels. Here are my rationale for this change. Max Tariff Max Tariff has been 10% since the Player Trade was initially introduced. It worked alright until "Tile Claim" was introduced, which made trade map more crowded and tariff more prevalent. This hinders player trade and is prone to abuse. Lowering tariff rate, especial…Steam news16 Aug 2026Now In Beta: Patch 1.5Greetings, CivIdlers, I am preparing a “surprise” content patch for CivIdle (well, not a surprise anymore) to celebrate the release of Restitutor. This patch is scheduled to land on stable on Sep. 8, the same day Restitutor releases. Keepers Of Our Server Special Day The “Keep Our Server On” Pack helps keep our servers afloat amid ever-increasing costs. This would have been enough to cover the server costs for almost a year! However, our hosting provider has raised the price by almost 300% . This would have been devastating, but the proceeds from the DLC have bought me a bit mor…
