Hello Dungeoneers!

Thank you for all your incredible support during the past week. As we explained in our latest devblog, we're aware of the issues you've been experiencing, and we're truly sorry for the frustration they've caused. We really appreciate your patience while we worked on these fixes.

We've just released Patch 1.0.50.0 to address the most critical issues, while also bringing balance changes and other improvements.

Here are the patch notes:

IMPORTANT CHANGES

  • Backpacks now stay on the player after death. Items that aren't kept go into a bigger death pack.

  • Hosts can now kick players from the Players list in the pause menu.

  • Hosts can now recover a lost treasure from the catalogue, from wherever it ended up, including another player's inventory.

  • Each world now keeps a backup of its last good save, which loads if the save can't be read or the world fails to load. PC saves go to a temp file first, so a crash mid-save can't break the save.

  • New accessibility feature: headbob can now be toggled in settings.

REBALANCE

  • Bat damage nerfed 35 → 25; Red Bat damage nerfed 45 → 35.

  • Scrap Cape noise reduction nerfed 50% → 30% (the Cape stays at 50%).

  • Bat respawn timer increased from 10 → 20 min; Eel respawn timer increased from 6 → 10 min.

  • Stack size set to 1 for Boiled Corn, Fruit Compote, Cooked Veggies, Seafood Pasta, Ramen, and Spaghetti.

  • Crafting the Grappling Hook is now in the inventory; crafting the Hook is now on the Workbench.

BUG FIXING AND IMPROVEMENT

  • Fixed duplicated lobbies in Lobby UI.

  • Added missing LobbyUI changeset.

  • Small search filter fix.

  • Repositioned one torch holder in initial sewers for better visibility of path

  • Shield buff description now shows correctly: passive buff while the shield is equipped, active buff while blocking.

  • Cooking Table crafting unlock prerequisite changed from Corn to Leather.

  • Manually adjusted water shore in Castle Tower under the stairs.

  • Repositioned Goo Piles in the prison so they're easier to spot.

  • Fixed prison Mechanism not showing "Bring Chains to Fix it"

  • Fixed Brazier label to show "Coal (1/1)".

  • Added rotten food to the gig treasure chest.

  • Fixed holding two torches consuming both when one ran out. Only the one at 0% is consumed now.

  • Added a warning when a torch is consumed from the player's hand.

  • Removed collision on small decorative roots in the Temple that could get players stuck.

  • Raised the water level in the Giant Slime corridor (players with a backpack could get stuck), and moved some objects to create new routes around the slime.

  • Fixed arrow projectile collision getting stuck when shooting close to a wall.

  • Fixed Kettle dropping a potion bottle when deconstructed. It now drops only ingredients.

  • Updated several localization strings.

  • Fixed item description label in Crafting UI and Workbench UI.

  • Fixed loading into a world with 0 HP, no controls and an empty inventory after many players had joined it. The game no longer saves while a world is loading or before the character is ready.

  • Fixed upgraded weapons resetting to default when dropped while transferring items to a full inventory.

  • Bow fixes for multiplayer

    • Arrows no longer fly to the wrong place on clients.

    • Shots leave from the visible bow and go where the crosshair points.

    • Arrows no longer pass through thin walls or small enemies.

    • Client arrows now deal real bow damage, including upgrades and buffs.

  • Added a guard for enemies sinking into the floor: when a player comes close, they're put back on the floor and wake up normally, even in existing saves.

  • Fixed a metal fence in the sewers that kept coming back.

  • Simple skeletons don't wake up near a Carranca statue.

  • Fixed the bean soup recipe tip

It's been a week since Deep Dish Dungeon launched, and we wanted to take a moment to celebrate this milestone with you all. One of the coolest things about making a game is seeing people actually playing it, exploring the world, and finding things that you spent so much time designing. Seeing players put so many hours into the game, sharing discoveries, figuring out puzzles, and f…Community16 Oct 2026Dev Blog #10 - Why friction is good (sometimes)Hey everyone! What a great couple of days! I'm personally amazed by the community getting together to find all the little things hidden inside this dungeon. It's a creator's dream coming true. Since launch, we've been reading a lot of your feedback, and one of the recurring topics is how difficult the game feels sometimes, how little direction it gives you, and how some of its systems can feel…
