Thank you for playing the Ink & Lore demo!
Based on your feedback, we've updated the demo. Here are the main changes.
Title Screen
- On your first launch, the game now starts at the title screen, so you can adjust settings before you begin.
- Added a "Quit Game" button.
Audio
- The BGM was too loud, so the default volumes are now Master Volume 50%, BGM Volume 50%, and SFX Volume 70%.
UI
Battle
- When you select a card, it's now clearer how to play it or cancel.
- Updated the illustrations on Technique cards.
- End Turn is now a button instead of a card.
- The Dancer's double attack is now shown on attack cards.
General
- When you obtain an item or Gold, you can now close the window by clicking anywhere, not just the button.
- Dungeon floors are now consistently labeled as "Pages".
- Redesigned dialogs and buttons to match the game's world.
- Added keyboard controls.
- When upgrading Techniques or Equipment, you can now compare their stats before and after the upgrade.
Gameplay
- Increased the Gold earned from battles.
- Added a tutorial for battles with two characters.
- Lowered the rarity of Revive items and made them appear more often (they were so rare that reviving was practically impossible).
- Equipment you choose not to equip can now be exchanged for Gold.
- Highlight cards were too strong, so some of them have been nerfed.
Map
- Elites and Shops no longer appear at the very start of a run.
- Equipment upgrades have been moved out of the Shop into a new location: the Smithy.
- Reduced the Gold earned from Gold spaces.
Display
- Fixed blurry text on high-resolution displays such as 4K.
- The game now remembers the window size, position, and maximized state, and restores them the next time you launch it.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bug where damage taken became 0 while one of the characters had 0 HP.
