Corda Signata is now complete.
There is still work to be done before release, mainly testing, corrections, and translations, so it will take a little while longer before I can finally open the doors of the Cathedral. But I’ll be revealing the release date soon.
In the meantime, I want to start sharing some details about the DLC little by little.
Corda Signata was created for those who have already experienced Luce Spenta and want to venture even deeper into its world, its characters, and some of the hidden corners left behind by the original story.
It remains a primarily narrative experience, guided by Morta, but this time there is something new:
a place you can explore.
The Cathedral is divided into different rooms, each with its own purpose. Some are connected directly to the story. Others contain information, memories, secrets, or additional mechanics.
And today, I want to show you one of my favorites.
Somewhere inside the Cathedral, you will find the Confessional.
There, you can sit face-to-face with Morta and speak with her.
Not as part of a judgment.
Not because a choice needs to push the story in one direction or another.
Simply to talk.
The Confessional contains multiple conversation topics. Some are centered on the player themselves, allowing you to hear Morta’s perspective on much more personal subjects: feeling trapped, postponing the life you truly want, grief, loneliness, exhaustion, or even wondering whether your life has any meaning at all.
But that is only one part of it.
You will also be able to revisit characters and souls you encountered before, discuss events within the Cathedral, and delve deeper into pieces of lore that may never appear during the main path.
And not everything will be available from the beginning.
New topics will gradually unlock as you progress, discover certain things, and experience new stories. So, if you want to uncover everything Corda Signata has hidden within it, it may be worth returning to the Confessional from time to time.
Morta might have something new to tell you.
Nothing you confess there will directly affect your ending.
Because yes: Corda Signata has multiple endings.
The Confessional exists for another reason.
It is a small place away from the rest of the Cathedral where you can open your soul, ask questions, remember, or simply sit across from the one who has been watching you ever since you first entered the forest.
No points.
No correct answer.
No judgment waiting on the other side.
Just you and Morta.
And whatever is said there...
will remain between the two of you.
This is only one of the places I want to show before release. Over the coming weeks, I’ll gradually reveal more rooms, mechanics, and small details from Corda Signata while I finish preparing everything to finally open the doors of the Cathedral.
See you inside.
