2.1.6 Update — Smoother UI, Faster Music Switching, and Stability Improvements

Lazy Legions 2.1.6 Update

This update focuses on smoother moment-to-moment play, safer long sessions, and more intentional equipment progression.

Performance and memory improvements

• Reworked idle UI updates, recommendation checks, wave progress, off-screen indicators, and several overlay systems to react to real state changes instead of repeatedly polling in the background.
• Large backdrops, localization tables, and optional world resources are now kept resident only when they are actually needed.
• Music changes now load in the background. The current track keeps playing while the next track is prepared, and the decoded-music cache stays within a fixed budget.

Equipment progression and combining

• Random drops and bosses now focus more on useful Common and Rare crafting bases.
• Epic, Legendary, and Mythic equipment are now primarily earned through combining, giving spare equipment a clearer long-term purpose.
• Improved the combining sequence with clearer progress, steadier reel stops, and less UI churn during the reveal.

Stability fixes

• Hardened scene changes, menus, overlays, jackpot/combo feedback, Prestige tracking, and desktop-pet transitions against callbacks that outlive removed objects.
• Improved shutdown cleanup for music, telemetry, Steam-related services, pools, and cross-frame callbacks.
• Strengthened profile, equipment, and release validation so incomplete or unsafe state cannot overwrite authoritative progress.
