We’re deploying a hotfix that addresses an issue where AI opponents weren’t declaring war as often as expected.

Note for Switch players: This fix will be coming to Nintendo platforms alongside our 1.4.2 update in the coming weeks. Until then, Crossplay Multiplayer with users running the latest 1.4.1 Hotfix 2 release on other platforms will be unavailable. We appreciate your patience! In the meantime, Steam players can still use the console-compatible-switch beta branch to play Crossplay Multiplayer with Switch players until 1.4.2 releases. To join this branch, right-click Sid Meier's Civilization VII in your Steam library, select Properties, then click over to the Game Versions & Betas tab. From there, select the “console-compatible-switch” option.

If you’re still running into issues after this patch, please let us know through our Support portal.
