It's probably about time for a bigger visual update!
For quite some time now, I've been working on adding Steam Workshop support to Hit and Stand Blackjack. The goal is to allow players to create, use, and share their own custom backgrounds for the game.
It turned out to be a much larger project than I initially expected. The biggest challenge wasn't actually a bug at all. After a lot of troubleshooting, I discovered that Steam requires Steam Cloud to be enabled in order for Workshop uploads to function properly.
Since Steam Cloud had to be enabled anyway, it made sense to take full advantage of it. As a result, I've also updated the game's save system, which means save files will now automatically sync through Steam Cloud.
In addition to Workshop support and cloud saves, this update also includes a number of smaller improvements and optimizations.
The update is expected to roll out this weekend.
One thing worth noting: When you upload a new background to the Workshop, it will automatically be set to Private by default. This is a built-in safety measure from Steam. If you'd like other players to be able to view and download your background, simply visit the Workshop page for your upload and change its visibility to Public or Friends Only.
Thank you all for your support and feedback!
