This update focuses on optimizing the long-term running stability of the desktop pet, the right-click menu, the reminder system, desktop widgets, and the overall Windows experience. This version fixes a large number of interaction issues encountered in real-world use, laying a more stable foundation for future additions of pet skins, widgets, and reminder features.

New Features

  • Added Reminder Management
You can now create one-time and recurring reminders. One-time reminders are suitable for meetings, to-dos, and temporary tasks; recurring reminders are ideal for drinking water, resting, or repeating alerts within a fixed time frame.

  • Added Reminder Bubbles
When a reminder is due, the pet will notify you via a text bubble. The bubble will automatically adjust its display direction based on the pet's position on the screen to avoid going off-screen.

  • Added Desktop Widgets
Currently supports Calendar, Clock, Notes, Wi-Fi Crosshairs-1, and Wi-Fi Crosshairs-2. Each widget supports independent toggle, pin to top (always on top), mouse passthrough (click-through), opacity adjustment, and position memory.

  • Added More Pet Animation States
Added support for animation states such as bubble interaction, boredom, and waking from system sleep, making the pet's behavior more natural.

Experience Optimizations

  • Reworked Pet Right-Click Menu
The menu will now automatically choose its expansion direction based on the pet's screen position, reducing issues with occlusion, misalignment, and going off-screen.

  • Optimized Menu Display and Close Logic
Improved details such as menu fade-in/fade-out, secondary menu switching, and auto-closing when idle to prevent menu residue and visual misalignment.

  • Optimized Reminder Window Interface
The layout for the reminder list, new reminder, and edit reminder is now clearer, reducing issues with scrolling, clipping, and squished empty states.

  • Optimized Pet Dragging Experience
Dragging is now more stable, reducing offset issues across different screens and scaling ratios.

  • Optimized Pet Hitbox
The interaction area is no longer a simple rectangle, but rather closely follows the visible area of the pet image itself.

  • Optimized Widget Control Bar
The top control bar of widgets is now cleaner. Interactions like mouse hover, expanding button groups, and adjusting opacity feel more natural.

  • Optimized Long-Term Running Stability on Windows
Improved the creation method for reminders, bubbles, menus, and widget windows, reducing issues where the pet becomes undraggable or the menu fails to open after running for a long period.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue on Windows where reminder bubbles might not show up when due, causing the pet to become undraggable and the menu unable to open.

  • Fixed an issue on Windows where creating certain transparent windows could cause the interface to freeze.

  • Fixed an issue where the pet's right-click menu occasionally left residual images of previous secondary or tertiary menus.

  • Fixed an issue where the menu could go off-screen when opened at the screen edge.

  • Fixed an issue where reopening a recently closed menu occasionally caused the old layout to flicker.

  • Fixed overlapping content issues when rapidly switching secondary menus.

  • Fixed an issue where the menu and reminder window might compete for focus after clicking a reminder.

  • Fixed unnatural clipping in the scrolling area when the reminder window had too much content.

  • Fixed an issue where the "No Reminders" empty state layout was visually squished.

  • Fixed an issue where the pet's animation state did not properly restore after a reminder went off.

  • Fixed an issue where bubbles might display incompletely when the pet was near the top or edges of the screen.

  • Fixed an issue where widget toggle states in the menu desynced after turning widgets on or off.

  • Fixed an issue where widget button states desynced after modifying pin to top, mouse passthrough, or opacity via the menu.

  • Fixed an issue where widget control buttons might still be visible after enabling mouse passthrough.

  • Fixed an issue where some window resources were not properly released after closing a widget.

  • Fixed an issue where the control bar could be occluded by other widgets when stacking multiple widgets.

  • Fixed the center positioning offset of the crosshair widgets.

  • Fixed the clipping issue of the button area on crosshair widgets.

  • Fixed an issue where the top layout of the Calendar jumped when switching months or years.

  • Fixed an issue where the dropdown selection area of the Calendar was difficult to click under certain circumstances.

  • Fixed an issue where the pet's layer might fall below widgets when both the pet and widgets were pinned to top.

  • Fixed abnormal pin-to-top layer indexing after clicking the taskbar or "Show Desktop" on Windows.

  • Fixed an issue where the pet could be difficult to drag back after being dragged to the edge of the screen.

  • Fixed unideal initial spawn positions for the pet upon first launch.

  • Fixed inconsistent icon displays between macOS and Windows.

  • Fixed an issue where clicking "Exit" in the menu occasionally did nothing.

  • Fixed an issue where the mouse hover animation occasionally failed to trigger or was interrupted by the default animation.

  • Fixed timers for default animations and random animations interrupting each other.

  • Fixed animations not playing completely upon mouse enter or mouse leave.

  • Fixed an issue where directional drag animations required continuous mouse movement to play.

  • Fixed abnormal animation states after the system woke from sleep.

Other Adjustments

  • Updated application icons and Windows system tray icon.

  • Improved the pet skin configuration structure to prepare for future custom skins and remote skin updates.

  • Optimized documentation for local builds, Windows builds, and Steam uploading processes.

  • Improved internal window z-index management, making the relationship between menus, reminders, bubbles, the pet, and widgets much more stable.
