There's lots of new features, improvements, and bug fixes in this update, so get ready!
New features:
- Player usernames, they appear above the car when you are close to a vehicle (and can see it)
- New “fastest time per map” for the racing gamemode
- The graphics of the game have been remade entirely
- We have added steam achievements (with more to come in the future)
- New career tab to visit the leaderboard, see your personal statistics and track your achievements
- Your total wins in a session are now visible to anyone in the playerlist
- Implemented Discord and Steam rich presence
- Made it so when you go through a checkpoint in the racing gamemode, you get a speed boost in the direction you are looking at (the strength is related to speed and look direction)
- New option to toggle push to talk
- New drunkenness option for all gamemodes
Improvements:
- Added a popup when a host leaves the game
- Redid map selector UI (looks so much better)
- Redid the sand on dunes so it looks less janky (and fixed issue where it was black on low graphics and from far away)
- When selecting racing gamemode, the variants on floating islands are hidden
- Disabled zooming on the car character when in different menus that also use the scroll wheel
- Reverted jump height back to the original height
- Added more bundles
- Added death a 10 point penalty if you die from not the bomb in the hot potato game mode
Small improvements:
- Made framerate limit be any fps
- Changed order of the gamemodes
- Renamed options to settings
- Made logo look less like “Intaxicated Driver”
- Added a camera effect when boosting
- New icon on homepage/task bar when playing
- The timer is now hidden before a race starts
Bug Fixes:
- Make ice cream truck not metallic by default
- Made it so you don’t need to click the default car before editing colors
- Fixed hole in dunes map
- When you die you no longer leave the chat
- Fixed bug where selecting floating islands variant would break it
- Fixed cosmetic syncing in the mainmen being broken
