In this article, we’ll explain what OTS is, and how to test the updated wide range detectors, squad-based matchmaking, and inventory item locking.
OTS stands for Open Test Server. Here, you gain access to early versions of major updates.
This time, it is open for EU and RU players only.
Your task is to provide feedback to help us identify and fix issues before the final release.
On the OTS, your character will have the gear they had at the moment they were added to the testing participant list.
Progress is not transferred between servers, and everything you do with items on OTS stays there.
Access to the OTS will be granted to a limited number of players who actively participated in signal searching or frequently played in squads with other players.
EXBO launcher users will see a separate server available for download — STALZONE OTS.
Steam players can check for an in-game message titled “OTS invitation: WRD, squad-based matchmaking, and item locking in inventory”, sent by System to their most recently active character. If you don’t have this message, you are not eligible for testing.
OTS will run from October 16, 2026, 15:00 (UTC) to October 18, 2026, 20:59 (UTC).
Please note! This is a test server. It may be stopped or restarted for changes anytime.
We want to see your feedback on the changes to the wide range detectors and your experience using them, along with the updated squad-based matchmaking and inventory item locking.
We are counting on your feedback, which you can leave on our Discord server in the discussion.
Please be understanding of any issues and not finished parts. We will monitor and maintain OTS until it ends.
OTS will be available to players in RU and EU regions. Steam login remains supported.
If you’re using the launcher and have access, the server will automatically appear in your download list.
To join via Steam, you need to choose the available beta version in the game settings.
Important note! In Steam, the beta version is available for download to everyone, even those who were not included on the participant list.
This could lead to a situation where you waste bandwidth downloading but are unable to participate in testing.
To avoid this, we recommend using the EXBO Launcher to log into the test server, even if you usually play through Steam.
Detailed instructions are available here.
All players spawn at the Pervomaisky Factory Bar. The following locations are available on the OTS server:
The Bar
The Forest
The Pit
Pervomaisky Factory
The Path of Fools
Polesskoye
Professor Solyannikov's story location
Mines
Inflow
Forge-11
Northern faction bases
An NPC near the bar spawn point will provide all in-game WRDs and Buryat SRD. He will also start a story quest to find Kaa using the Detector.
To test the wide range detectors, complete the related challenges and pay attention to how the new WRDs feel in practice.
Signal spawn rates have been doubled on Polesskoye, The Path of Fools, Mines, Inflow, and Forge-11.
The OTS has added separate location instances for:
Solo players
Duo squads
Squads with 3+ players
All these categories will play separately from each other.
To test the matchmaking system, complete relevant clearing event challenges while playing in specific squad sizes.
Item locking in inventory is now live on the server. To test it, lock the items you use frequently and play in the open world, paying attention to your user experience and any bugs you encounter.
Any issues discovered during testing can be reported to our Support:
