The Level Editor is Here!

Create your own Hyphen levels, share them on Steam Workshop, and discover challenges made by other players.

We're incredibly excited to finally release the biggest update we've ever made for Hyphen...

The Level Editor and Steam Workshop support are now live!

You can now build your own Hyphen levels from scratch, test them instantly, upload them to Steam Workshop, and play creations made by other players.

We've also created four new Workshop levels ourselves to get things started, along with a collection of objects that creators can use in their own levels.

Build. Play. Share.

We've tried to make the editor flexible enough to let you create all sorts of Hyphen levels.

Want to make something clever? Go for it.

Want to make something beautiful? We'd love to see it.

Want to create an absolutely horrific collection of obstacles designed solely to ruin someone's evening?

...we suspect that's probably what most of you are going to do.

Once you've finished building, you can upload your level to Steam Workshop for other players to discover and play.

And if building isn't your thing, that's completely fine, Community Levels lets you browse creations from other players and jump straight into new challenges.

Four New Levels to Get Things Started

We didn't want to just hand you all an empty Workshop and run away, so we've made four levels of our own for you to play.

They're also a chance to see some of the things that can be created with the editor before you start experimenting yourself.

But we're much more interested in seeing what you can make.

Make Us Regret This

For the last 11 years, we've been the sole designers of Hyphen's ridiculous challenges.

Now we're handing the tools over to you.

Build something clever. Create something weird. Design a challenge that seems completely impossible and then prove us wrong by beating it and sharing it with everyone on the Workshop.

We'll be keeping a close eye on your creations, playing your levels and highlighting some of our favourites.

We've had 11 years to make you suffer.

Now it's your turn to return the favour.

Let Us Know What You Think

This is by a long shot the biggest update we've ever made to Hyphen, and with so many new features and possibilities added to the game, we'd really appreciate your feedback.

If you run into any bugs, find something that doesn't quite work as expected, or simply have an idea for how we could improve the Level Editor or Community Levels, please let us know through the Steam Discussions.

We'll be keeping a close eye on your feedback and working to iron out any issues that appear.

Eleven Years Later...

It's slightly surreal writing this.

Hyphen originally released on Steam 11 years ago.

After being unavailable for several years, we brought the game back to Steam this year. Being able to follow that by releasing something as substantial as a full Level Editor and Steam Workshop integration means a lot to us.

If you've had Hyphen sitting in your Steam library since the early days, we'd love for you to come back and see what's changed.

And if you've only just discovered the game, then welcome!

We're excited to see where Community Levels takes Hyphen from here.

Thank you to everyone who's played the game, supported us, left feedback, or simply remembered that Hyphen existed after all these years.

Now there's really only one thing left to do.

Go and make us regret giving you a level editor.

Have fun!
