Dark clouds are gathering above our heads (bad weather in Poland), but it suits us - after all, there’s nothing better than rain outside while developing a game in a warm room (in reality, we’re Moriana’s undead minions sitting cuffed in her basement, but hey, we can dream, right?). The point is, we’re still working hard on the next major update to Be My Horde, and while we’re keeping some great stuff under wraps to show you later, we just wanted to let you know that everything is moving in the right direction. We’re focused on preparing new features, improvements, and a plethora of new content for you.
And we do have quite a treat for you today! A new, cool CONTEST!
We’re thrilled to announce a ONE-LINER CONTEST!
If you’ve ever dreamt of writing for video games, want to make a real contribution to Be My Horde, have a neat idea for a catchy line, or just wish for Amber Lee Connors (or any other of our magnificent voice actors) to read your words aloud, now’s your chance! Details below.
A contest for a one-liner to be featured in Be My Horde. It should be ONE SENTENCE written for either Moriana, Richard, or the Devil. The line will be used for an in-game event of our choosing.
Feel free to let your imagination run wild. It can be Moriana’s reaction to knights surrounding her horde, the Devil’s commentary on an upcoming boss fight, or Richard babbling about his beloved sheep… Whatever works, as long as it’s clever and not too long!
You can submit up to 3 different lines.
Your ideas need to be submitted via email by August 30th, 11:59 p.m. (PT).
The lines, along with your username, need to be sent to the following email address: [email protected]
Be sure to put “ONE-LINER CONTEST” in the subject line!!!
We will pick the three best lines from three different contestants and announce the winners on September 1st. The winning lines will be recorded by our actors and implemented into the game as part of the next major update later this year!

We’re super excited to share that our friends at Awesome Games Studio just released the 1.0 version of their amazing survivor game, Yet Another Zombie Survivors! We’re happy for them, and we wish them enormous success with the full launch! We’ll definitely spend some time today slaughtering hordes of zombies, and keep in mind that Be My Horde is also available in a neat bundle with this superb game!
We know we’re horrible for being so vague about the upcoming major update, but give us just a little more time, and we’ll have a ton of stuff to show you when the time comes.
In the meantime, we just wanted to show you that besides the big things, we’re also improving the smaller stuff because, as always, everything can be done better. Last time, we shared changes to the animation of our chubby redhead royal, and today we’re giving you a simple sneak peek at improvements to another animation.
But that’s just a teaser of what we have in store. We hope to finally share more next month. In the meantime, make sure to take part in our One-Liner Contest and stay tuned for more news about Be My Horde. And remember…
