Hello everyone!
Following the big 0.21.0 update, the first smaller follow-up updates are already here. 😄
As expected after replacing and reworking so many of the game's core systems, I found a few things that needed some additional attention.
Updates **0.21.1 and 0.21.2** are mainly focused on fixing these smaller problems, improving stability, and making future bugs much easier to find and fix.
Several smaller issues discovered while testing the new 0.21.0 systems have been corrected.
I have also continued cleaning up and improving different parts of the game in the background.
The new foundation introduced with 0.21.0 will continue to receive smaller adjustments over the next updates, especially where gameplay values or UI elements are still unclear.
The built-in bug reporting system has received another major improvement.
The important part for you is simple:
When something goes wrong, I now have a much better chance of finding out exactly what happened. 😄
The game can provide much more useful information together with an error report, which should make it considerably easier for me to reproduce and fix bugs.
If a report cannot be sent immediately, it can also be saved and tried again later.
You can also optionally include your save game when reporting a problem if you think it may help reproduce the issue.
Nothing changes about the basic idea: if you encounter an error, describe what you were doing and send the report. The technical part happens in the background.
Hopefully this means less time searching for bugs and more time actually fixing them. 😂
The large 0.21.0 update replaced and reworked a huge amount of old code and gameplay systems.
Now the focus is shifting toward polishing everything that came with it.
There are still some UI elements that need better explanations, some gameplay values that may need balancing, and probably a few bugs hiding in places I have not found yet.
Please keep sending feedback if something feels wrong, confusing, too easy, too difficult, or simply strange.
That feedback is especially valuable right now while the new systems are still being refined.
My next focus will gradually move away from all the technical rebuilding and back toward things you can actually see and play. 😄
This includes:
* More UI improvements and explanations
* Better guidance for the new plant-care systems
* Balancing based on actual gameplay
* Fixing bugs reported by the community
* And, of course, more gameplay and content in future updates 🌱
Thank you again for sticking with Medicinal Herbs.
After the long break, it feels great to finally be able to release updates again – and this time I definitely don't plan on disappearing for another year. 😂
There is still a lot to improve, but we're moving forward again.
Have fun growing! 🌱🔥
