Hello treasure hunters,
the previous few patches revolved around making the party members feel more important. This patch goes a bit deeper, specifically for Bahj. The goal was to further solidify Bahj's role and usefulness as a tank. Some other improvements and fixes snuck in too.
Gameplay
Added Intercept ability for Bahj
Replaces Shield Guard. Bahj moves quickly, protecting nearby allies and themselves from damage
Added Net ability for Bahj
Throw a fishing net on multiple enemies, trapping, tethering and pulling them together
Added tethering functionality - if a character gets moved by abilities like Hook or Push, then all characters tethered to it get moved as well
Try using Hook on enemies after they've been tethered by Net
Balance
Wet status effect now increases fire resistance, alongside the reduced lightning resistance
Burning status effect can now be removed by Chilled Gust, Poison Gas, and water based abilities
Increased Reaper Boss experience - players wouldn't have enough level points to extract from the first Iridine Anvil
Buffed Reaper Boss hand's health from 525 to 575 - players were killing them before the boss could use its fireball barrage attack
Misc
Fixed a memory leak when returning to the game from the main menu
Expanded the Tactics tutorial to include ability command demonstration
Dialogue bubble mouse interaction and keybind improvements
Fixed item cost being incorrect when quantity was greater than 1
Fixed vendor labeling issues
Various minor bug fixes
If you gave the demo a try and thought Bahj's skillset could use some work, I'd love to know what you think of these changes. These new abilities for Bahj will appear even if you have an old save file.
Thanks everyone for staying updated with Bridgebourn's development. I'll continue keeping you updated.
Happy treasure hunting!
