I'm really glad to share this news with you: I somehow managed to add Achievements to Slayer Mage: My First RPG.
Added 100 Achievements to the base game. I would loved to add more, covering all the secrets and possibilities of Slayer Mage, but currently my game is limited to 100 Achievements.
Changed Statistics and Credits menus background from random colored backgrounds to random scenery backgrounds.
Some minor fixes.
Added 1 (fun) Achievement to the Demo version.
I was trying to add Achievements to the new game, and suddenly I felt to try to add them to Slayer Mage too. As some of you know, Slayer Mage: My First RPG was built with RPG Maker XP, an old game engine which didn't support Steam API, so Steam integration was out of question for me. I did some research when I released Slayer Mage, and until that moment I haven't heard any game with Achievements that was built with RPG Maker XP (maybe there's a game out there, forgive my lack of attention, but I couldn't find any). So, again, it seemed impossible for me to make Steam Achievements integration to my game. If no one could, how could I, a newbie game dev, do this? Anyway, after adding them to my new game, I decided I'll try again, the last time, just before Party-Based RPG Fest goes live, I read some old documentations, downloaded some things, and in the end somehow managed to make Achievements work (thanks Imichan for testing them).
But keep in mind that this is still new thing for me, I've never done Achievements before, especially on such an old engine. So, if you see any bugs regarding Achievements, please let me know, and I'll try to fix them ASAP.
Another thing: although, you probably won't get an on-screen notification when you unlock an Achievement, you'll still earn them.
