## 🗡️ Dress the Duel Update (8/23)
**✨ New**
- Cards that ask you to pick equipped costume layers (Lionheart Battle Skirt, Cosmic Bikini Bottoms, Split Spark) no longer open a separate full-screen menu. The battle stays on screen, your equipped-slot chips fly up from the costume indicators, and you tap the layers you want and confirm with ✓ (Enter). Optional picks skip with Esc or right-click.
- Split Spark is now dropped onto a slot chip like every other slot-targeting card. The drop is your first pick, then you can add a second before confirming.
- The demo now ends on the same result screen as the full game — run time, the route you took, and the relics you collected. "Continue" takes you on to the thank-you page. You get it whether you beat the Area 1 boss or die.
**⚖️ Tweaks**
- Fixed a batch of upgrades that did nothing. Recoil Invocation's upgrade now removes Exhaust (the 5 recoil damage deliberately stays), Ceremonial Tangle costs 1 instead of 2, and Kneel Before Me costs 0. Topdeck Vow's card draw and Armor Slam's bonus damage now actually appear on the card.
- Barefoot Pivot's upgrade now improves both halves of the card: it draws 3 with at least one outer slot empty, while the bonus energy still needs both outer slots empty.
- Heat Pheromone, Fray and Mud are no longer upgradeable, so they stop showing up at rest stops.
- Spiked Corsage and Armored Bustle now deal flat damage — Posture, Sublimity and Glass Slipper no longer scale them. These passive pings also no longer count as you attacking, so they won't eat an Allure stack.
- Safety Pin now triggers when you equip any outer costume while wearing at least one inner costume, instead of requiring the inner on the matching half. Still once per turn.
- Three near-duplicate statuses were merged into the ones they copied, bringing the count to 74. Waterlogged is now Confusion — so its +1 cost reaches costume cards created mid-battle, and it clears when the enemy that applied it dies.
**🎨 Visuals**
- New logo on the title screen, with the menu entries regrouped and their spacing tightened.
- Fixed picked costume-slot chips stretching their frame sideways over the neighbouring slots and burying their icons. A pick now reads as a warm gold tint plus the check badge.
**🌏 Text**
- Sewn Shut is now called **Petrified** (same effect). Giant Scissors' intent text and the Two-Sizes-Too-Small Corset description were reworded to match.
- Eight accessories were renamed to match the icon art actually being drawn for them. Effects, rarity and pools are unchanged.
Cracked Camera Lens → **Magic Barrier**
Tarnished Tiara → **Tasty Mud Dumpling**
Golem's Wrung Heart → **Town Basket Bag**
Seamstress's Thimble → **Dragon's Tail**
Chatelaine → **Pocket Watch Chatelaine**
Mannequin's Poise → **Blossom Hairpin**
Coin Purse Garter → **Thigh Pouch**
Lint Brush (Japanese name corrected)
- Safety Pin's description now states the once-per-turn cap plainly, and it finally has a Traditional Chinese description.
**🐛 Bug Fixes**
- Fixed overlapping enemy crosshairs letting one click also play the neighbouring card, starting a false player turn with no energy refill, card draw or enemy action.
- Fixed releasing a dragged card in the letterbox bars or off the window edge locking out all further card dragging and killing the costume slot arrow until End Turn.
- Fixed a confirmed target's crosshair staying drawn on the enemy for the whole enemy phase when End Turn was your next click.
- Fixed a raised hand card showing its base damage instead of the Posture-boosted number about half the time. The damage actually dealt was always correct.
- Fixed a raised card's damage reading 0 because a shielded enemy you weren't aiming at was being counted. The number now always shows the damage you deal; pointing at an enemy additionally applies that enemy's own multipliers, like Allure.
- Fixed Lionheart Battle Skirt's take-off menu labelling every row "no name", and the hand card under the Confirm button being played along with it.
- Fixed Petrified blocking cards that only apply an effect to a costume you're already wearing (Focus, among others) rather than equipping anything.
- Fixed shop items freezing their hover highlight after you return from opening a booster pack.
- Fixed the costume slot arrow going missing when the hand slid sideways and a costume card arrived under a stationary cursor.
- Fixed Spiked Corsage's battle-start proc firing behind the map-to-battle transition, so its damage number, hit effect and shake were spent off screen and the enemy just appeared 2 HP down. The proc now waits until the battle is visible.
- Fixed the result screen's exit button freezing part-way through its scale-in — hit box included — on routes with few nodes, so clicks near its edge did nothing. The victory jingle now also stops when you leave the screen.
