Polishing every corner for September 17

Hi everyone,

we are in the final stretch. Popcorn & Premieren launches on Steam on September 17, 2026, and right now the whole team is busy polishing, tidying and tightening every last screw: guest animations, crowd flow, foyer and auditorium visuals, posters, lighting and the interface in both Classic and Neon style.

New trailer

To celebrate Trailer Tuesday we have a brand-new trailer with fresh footage from the current build: packed lobbies, sold-out screens, the seven-screen multiplex, the LUMENVAULT large-format hall, the weekly planner, the figures and a few of the 200 parody films. Watch it right here on the store page.

Free demo available

You can already play the free demo today. Take over the closed neighbourhood cinema, book your first films, plan the week and read the room. Your demo feedback goes straight into the final polish.

What is still being worked on

  • Visuals: buildings, foyer details, auditorium seating and lighting
  • Guests: walking, queueing, seating and reactions in dense crowds
  • Interface: readability at low and high resolutions, German and English texts
  • Final localisation and testing on Windows and macOS

Thank you for wishlisting and for every bit of feedback. We cannot wait to open the doors on September 17.
