To all our travelers,
We would like to thank you all once more for your support. To be completely honest, we did not expect this much traction for our first game, so for that, we cannot thank you enough!
We are also very pleased and honored to announce that Forgotten Station is taking part in the Wholesome Games Celebration from August 6 to 13.
We took your feedback to heart and for the occasion we are happy to say you will already be able to see some of your suggestions reflected in the demo for this Steam event!
We have also received many wonderful writings from all of you, and the game really wouldn't be the same without everyone who has contributed. Thank you once more.
As a quick reminder for the new people here, if you would like to leave a little part of yourself in the game, the demo lets you write a letter that could eventually be found in the full game. We will do our best to add as many as possible! :140Down: Patch 1.2.0 details below :140Down:
Thank you to the Wholesome Games team for giving us this opportunity!
Now, about the changes we made:
Added a clock animation when interacting with benches, approaching NPCs, or boarding trains, to provide better feedback
Added access to the Settings menu from the main menu
Added an option to disable the grain texture in the Settings menu
The current time is now displayed on every page of your sketchbook
Moved the page-turning UI icons to the top of the screen for improved readability
Adjusted the interaction radius of objects, including trains, to make interactions feel smoother and more natural
Some dialogues were corrected as well as slightly tweaked to avoid any confusion on the player's objective in the demo
Fixed an issue where pressing a button at a specific moment when launching the game could leave you stuck on the main menu
Fixed an issue where, in some cases, the map would reveal a station you had not explored yet (no more spoilers!)
Tweaked the volume and pitch of the text writing sound to make it more pleasant to listen to, but alternative solutions are being explored
For authenticity's sake, we had previously decided to change as little as possible the writings shared with us for the letters. That included leaving purposefully some spelling mistakes. After reading your feedback and some careful thought, we have decided to correct letters from now on to make the general reading experience smoother and more enjoyable for everyone.
The letters in the demo have already been updated accordingly.
We are aware of additional issues and are actively working on solutions. We truly appreciate all your help in making Forgotten Station the best experience it can be for everyone. If you come across anything you think we should improve or fix, please don't hesitate to let us know!
