Hey VMXers,
This is an update post, but we also have a big announcement! We are announcing that VMX is coming to the Meta Store on October 2nd, 2026. Cross play with Meta will bring in so many more players, so even if you don’t want to play standalone, this will make the game much more lively. Gear up, and wishlist today!

Map Extensions

Each map is bigger now, with all of the original content still intact. Instead of changing what players already like, we decided to add more for them to enjoy.

Indoor Skatepark is no longer indoor. It's now Docks, a warehouse skatepark that spills out into a container yard. You can climb onto the roof, race through the shipping containers and the parking garage, and test your trick ability on much bigger ramps.

Miami used to be a tiny skatepark on the water. We've opened the city up to players, so you can weave in and out of buildings, find your way onto the rooftops, and test your mettle jumping across the flotillas in the water.

Stoke Valley actually sits inside a valley, and now you can climb it. Make your way to the summit, race down our biggest ramp yet, hurtle around the new track that circles the Stoke Valley park, and hit the dirt jumpers for huge air.

El Torro Stadium got a graphics overhaul that brightens up the level and makes it much more readable. It didn't grow as much as the others, but we've added a high-wire course along the top. We know players love climbing up there, so we made it part of the game.

Races

Every level now has a race course that takes you across the map. You pass through checkpoints, chasing the best time you can manage. Is it worth cutting a corner if you can't carry your speed through it? Can you stick that jump cleanly? Just remember: if you ain't first, you're last.

Collectibles

We know players enjoy technical jumps and exploring for secrets, so we've baked that into the game with collectible balloons. They're placed all over each level, marking jumps of varying difficulty. If you see a balloon, you know it's possible. There are challenges tied to collecting them all for each level, and one of those grants a special reward. We'll eventually add a reward for every level.

Hardlines

This is our most experimental feature. A common piece of feedback we get is that players want a way to ride without the assists that land jumps for them. Those assists exist so it's easy to hold your speed and focus on tricks, but now that there's more to explore, we've added sections marked with a red Hard Line label, where you manage your own speed and rotation. These are technical jumps. Expect to repeat them a lot while you work out the right speed (hint: pay attention to how fast you're pedaling), the right starting point, and the right angle to land.

Beyond all that, we've made a number of other changes and fixes. Check out the patch notes below, and wishlist VMX on Meta today!
