Hi everyone, I know it's been a while, but I thought I'd give you an update. It took me longer than it probably should, but I've pushed a new build of Blackberry Honey on Steam which fixes up some stuff, including: - fixes to a variety of interesting typos people have pointed out over the years
- some slight edits to a few transition effects
- a couple of updated sound effects
- a rehaul of how side sprites are defined in-game, so they should dissolve in and out more smoothly
- a fix to a bug which could brick your save when saving on a certain in-game day while playing with Japanese text enabled The game should also be compatible with the Steam deck now, though Steam hasn't reviewed the new build yet, and I should have fixed a bug which prevented the game from opening on Linux. The game should be more polished now. I hope that more people will be able to enjoy Blackberry Honey, and thank you for your support over the years! It's appreciated! For a brief while the VN was able to hit the much coveted overwhelmingly positive review threshold too, which was very satisfying to see as a developer. This is one of my older VNs and I think my writing style has changed a bit since I worked on BH (and I've definitely gotten better at coding lol), but I'm very happy so many people have enjoyed and engaged with this story despite some of its shortcomings. I'll keep working hard to make more VNs that people can (hopefully) enjoy! - ebi
