Hey, Giants!

Hope summer is going marvelously for all of you! Last time we talked, the Jurassic DLC was announced and a lot of you were excited in what this new expansion will offer! Good news: it will be released on September 18th!

New leaders, new turning points, new biome, new biotica... You are well aware of all the amazing stuff this brand new DLC will bring to your planets, but let's have an overview of what Abbey Games is currently cooking!

New biome for the Jurassic DLC, the Mesozoic Wilds biome:

  • It can be placed by the Rock Giant, Atlas, if you toggle the Mesozoic mode instead of the Rock mode at the start of your planet. This new biome, the Mesozoic Wilds, makes Atlas adorable with their new skully face!

  • What would be a new dinosaurs DLC without... well, dinosaurs?! Discover HUGE new biotica fitting the Jurassic theme, not solely animals, but also plants and minerals (as well as fossils!).

  • Dinosaurs have reigned during 3 major eras and we wanted to give tribute to this by bringing the new mechanic of biome modes. What does it entails? When placing a certain ecosystem in your Mesozoic biome, you will influence this biome mode. There are 3 Modes available:

    • Savage biome: made of bare rocks and predator dinosaurs;

    • Grand biome: made of tall trees and large dinosaurs;

    • Shrouded biome: made of smaller plants and other biotica, and may be a smaller territory in general;

    Depending on the Mode your Mesozoic biome adopts, different bonuses will be applied to the resources the biotica filling this biome will provide! (see example below for the Grand biome mode)

4 New Leaders:

Humans were not really a thing during the dinosaurs, but in the world of Reus 2, a new ecosystem can't be complete without brand new faces to guide humanity towards progress or exctintion!

  • The Senior: this leader remembers the good old days, when the maximum number of stars was 2 (more bonuses for 2 stars Apex biotica and maluses for higher stars biotica)

  • The Bushi: a man of honor, looking for ☠️Threat-based biotica to honor their blade and grant different resources bonuses;

  • The Paleontologist: some dig for riches, but the Paleontologist digs for 🌀Science through 🪨Minerals;

  • A mystery leader that you will discover later! (to keep some mystery...)

More turning points:

What path await your future planets? Will you get lost in forests made of gigantic trees? Will you create the next marvel of the world? Or are you doomed to suffer the same fate as the dinosaurs…?

  • Ancient Forest (era 1): The grazers have suffered a great sickness, but you can turn this animal tragedy into a plant triumph!

  • Epic Sculptors (era 1): The people are inspired by nature, let their artistry flow!

  • Armageddon (era 3): A prophet speaks, something big is coming towards the planet... Can the humans prepare?

Thank you so much for taking the time to read us and for supporting us in this wonderful journey that is Reus 2! We're still finishing the last additions to the DLC for it to be in the best conditions possible this September, at least it's one thing to look forward when summer will end! See you, Giants!
