Hello, everyone! Know Lychees has been updated to Version 1.2. This update reorganizes the main game flow, improves the level layouts and controls of the three core minigames, and introduces new challenge modes and Steam global leaderboards.
After selecting “Start Game” from the main menu, you can now choose from:
Campaign Mode: Travel through 18 towns and subdistricts across Gaozhou while taking turns playing Eat Lychees, Identify Lychees, and Find Lychees.
Daily Challenge: Complete a fixed set of 10 stages each day. All players receive the same challenge on the same day, allowing for fair score comparisons.
Endless Challenge: Keep progressing through increasingly difficult stages and see how far you can go.
Reworked the stacked card layouts.
Cards covered by an upper layer can no longer be selected early.
Adjusted the distribution of lychee varieties to reduce overly simple combinations.
Improved the animation and movement path when cards fly into the bamboo basket.
Improved the clearing animation for three matching lychee cards.
Results are now displayed only after all active animations have finished.
Added more card formations so matching cards are not always placed next to each other.
Reduced input delay for faster and more responsive card flipping.
Improved the successful match animation.
Removed the distracting connecting line between matched cards.
Reworked card positions and target distribution.
Improved card response time and correct-target feedback.
Improved landscape layouts for different numbers of cards.
Reduced overlap between cards, characters, and the item panel.
Updated all three minigames to use proportions closer to standard playing cards.
Improved card borders, rounded corners, bottom thickness, and depth.
Replaced the previous hard rectangular shadows with softer, lighter shadows that follow the rounded card shape.
Adjusted the space used by lychee images and variety names.
Longer variety names now automatically resize to fit within the card.
Identify Lychees and Find Lychees continue to use Gaozhou tourism artwork for their card backs.
Added Campaign, Daily, and Endless leaderboards.
Leaderboard entries use the player’s current Steam account name.
Players can view scores submitted by the global Steam community.
Local scores are still saved if Steam is offline or temporarily unavailable.
Eligible scores can be uploaded when Steam connectivity becomes available again.
“Start Game” now opens the mode selection screen.
Return buttons in Daily and Endless modes now lead back to the main menu.
Leaving an active challenge will settle the current run based on the player’s progress.
Improved the selected appearance of the three leaderboard category buttons.
The existing main menu, map, tourism gallery, lychee gallery, backgrounds, and music remain unchanged.
Fixed an issue where covered cards could sometimes be selected in Eat Lychees.
Fixed certain randomized stages generating too few target cards to complete the objective.
Fixed variety names extending outside card boundaries.
Fixed results appearing before card animations had finished.
Improved card selection, movement, flipping, and clearing animations to reduce visible pauses.
Fixed leaderboard tabs losing their rounded corners when selected.
Improved stage transitions, return actions, and failure settlement.
Fixed some interfaces still displaying the old 28-stage total.
