Hello everyone!We are excited to release Version 1.0.5 today! This update brings highly requested language support, UI streamlining, and gameplay improvements.
🌍 New Language Support
We want to make the game accessible to even more players! Behind the Screen now fully supports four new languages:
🇺🇦 Ukrainian (Українська)
🇵🇱 Polish (Polski)
🇨🇿 Czech (Čeština)
🇫🇷 French (Français)
All dialogues, choices, menus, system messages, and minigames are now fully localized.
🎮 Localization Refactoring
Minigames & Controller: All canvas-based minigame texts (such as score labels, timer displays, falling words) and gamepad connection alerts are now fully integrated with our translation database.
🖥️ Fullscreen Optimization
Default Fullscreen Launch: Behind the Screen now launches in fullscreen mode by default to ensure an immersive experience from the get-go.
Settings UI: The manual fullscreen toggle has been removed from the settings panel for a cleaner interface.
🏆 Cumulative Highscore (Volume 1)
Persistent Scoring: Your minigame score now accumulates across all chapters of Volume 1, rather than resetting to 0 at the start of each level. Go for the ultimate highscore!
Restart Protection: Restarting a chapter via the pause menu resets your score to what it was at the beginning of that chapter, preventing score farming through restarts.
🛠️ Bug Fixes
Pause Menu Bug: Fixed an issue where the pause menu overlay remained visible on the title screen when returning to the main menu from a paused game.
