Hello, this is Drabit Studio.

First, we would like to sincerely thank all testers for the great interest and support you have shown for the playtest. Thanks to so many of you playing the game firsthand and leaving detailed feedback, we were able to gain valuable direction for improving the game even further.

Even after the playtest ended, many of you told us that you wanted to continue playing. In response to your support, our development team has decided to release a demo version next week, with major issues identified during the test improved.

We do not plan to stop with this demo release. We will continue to share future updates and communicate the development process transparently with the community. We are also preparing various community events, such as a merchandise idea contest and character popularity poll, to offer enjoyable experiences both inside and outside the game.

Our team’s top priorities are the quality of the game and communication with our players. We believe the clearest way to repay your interest is to show you a better game, and after careful consideration, we decided to release this demo.

The demo version will include the following improvements based on your survey responses and feedback:

  1. Balance adjustments: Weapon and boss difficulty balance adjustments

  2. Multilingual support: Additional translations in 6 languages

  3. Added convenience options: Time Acceleration toggle, hitbox display, and more

  4. Dialogue system improvements: Added auto-advance dialogue and dialogue log features

  5. Presentation and sound: Improved some presentation elements and added sound effects

  6. Gamepad support: DualSense gamepad vibration support

  7. Various bug fixes

Please continue to show your interest and support for Soulers. Thank you.

P.S. We sincerely thank everyone who found us and supported us through the recent YouTube video, “🍝How an Indie Game Studio Solved Its ‘Lunch Money’ Problem.” To keep the fun atmosphere sparked by the video going, we are currently sharing small moments from the development team’s daily life and behind-the-scenes stories on our official Discord. We hope you will also take an interest in our Discord community!
