Hey everyone,
My first indie game launches in just under a month, and I’m starting to feel what it really means to commit to a release date.
There’s still plenty to do, so I thought I’d share a little of what’s happening behind the scenes as Video Store Chaos gets closer to launch.
Here’s what I’m working on today:
Adding sound effects for perk activation. I love sound design, but I’ve been putting this off because I know how easily I can spend hours obsessing over tiny details.
Recording two remaining bits of dialogue. Yep, some of the voices you’ll hear in the game are mine. Haha.
Touching up a few game covers. A couple still don’t quite look the way I want them to, so they’re getting another pass.
Fixing a save/load bug. Cases that haven’t been put on a shelf currently return to their original spawn positions when you load a save. Even the ones you’ve already thrown across the store. Apparently, they didn’t approve of your decorating choices.
I also launched the official website yesterday! There’s a countdown to release, and I’ll be adding more screenshots and other material over the next few days.
Thanks for following along.
