Hello everyone!
The Victory Banner demo has been available on Steam for a couple of days now, and I wanted to take a closer look at what awaits you in the game.
Command the army — control the soldiers
In Victory Banner, you can switch between two ways of controlling your forces at any moment.
From the strategic view, issue orders to entire squads, position your troops, choose where to attack, and prepare your defenses.
And when the situation calls for your personal involvement, take direct control of an individual soldier or vehicle and continue the fight from a third-person perspective.
Sniper, medic, machine gunner, mortar crewman, or tank crewman — the choice is yours.
Fortify your positions
During a battle, deciding where to send your units is only part of the job. You also need to make sure your positions are ready.
Build trenches, place sandbags, set up anti-tank obstacles, lay mines, and construct other defenses, using the terrain and layout of the map to your advantage.
And if your defenses aren’t enough, you can rely on mortars, machine guns, artillery, air support, and, of course, your allied forces.
Make decisions on the battlefield
Once the battle begins, don’t just sit back and watch. Put the many mechanics and tools at your disposal to good use. Treat wounded soldiers with medics, pick up captured weapons, manage your soldiers’ inventories, repair damaged vehicles, and even capture enemy vehicles.
With more than 20 types of controllable units available in the Demo, there’s almost always more than one way to approach a situation.
Step into history
The Demo includes a story-driven mission based on the fightin around the village of Buinichi during the defense of Mogilev in July 1941.
On July 12, the German 3rd Panzer Division, commanded by Lieutenant General Walter Model, attempted to break through toward Mogilev from the south along the Bobruisk Highway. Near the village of Buinichi, they encountered the 388th Rifle Regiment of the 172nd Rifle Division, commanded by Colonel Semyon Kutepov, along with other Soviet forces.

After a grueling 14-hour battle, the attack was repelled and the German forces withdrew with heavy losses.
In the mission, you won’t simply follow objectives. You’ll have to decide for yourself how to deploy and use the forces available to you.
Test Your Tactical Skills
And for those looking for more freedom and replayability, we’ve prepared Capture mode.
Your objective is to capture enemy positions and hold them until the timer runs out. Decide which positions to attack first, where to build your defenses, and when the time is right to commit additional forces to the battle.
This is only the beginning of Victory Banner’s journey. There’s still plenty of work ahead, including new missions, maps, units, and more.
