Development Update: Development Department, Agent Priorities & Bug-Free Playtest

Warlords,

Over the past few weeks, we crossed major development milestones. The core loops connecting game development, street-level logistics, and territory control are now locked in and fully operational.

Even better: our semi-closed playtest has been running uninterrupted for over 45 days with zero reported bugs. Stability and simulation math are rock solid.

Here is a breakdown of what just landed in the engine.

1. The Game Development Loop Is Complete

Arcade dominance starts with software. You no longer rely solely on third-party licenses or auction buyouts—the Development Department is now fully functional, allowing you to design, build, and balance your own proprietary arcade hits.

From your corporate HQ, you assign Lead Designers to run multi-phase development cycles. You manage Business Intelligence (BI) allocation, development speed, and feature planning, while tuning the cabinet's monetization doctrine—from player-friendly Fair Play to brutal Quarter Muncher revenue models.

[Configuring the monetization strategy and logistics cost during Phase 3 of game development.]

Once greenlit, project progression ticks in real-time within your Headquarters, consuming weekly BI flow until the master build is ready for mass cabinet manufacturing.

2. Technician Role & Agent Priority Matrix

As your empire grows across multiple city sectors, manual micromanagement becomes a liability. We have implemented a comprehensive Agent Priorities System that gives you granular, automated command over your workforce.

[Assigning priority tiers across Haul, Transport, Collect, Deal, Repair, and Install tasks.]

You can now set exact execution orders across all field roles:

  • Technicians: The Technician role loop is now 100% complete. Technicians deploy automatically to repair worn-out machines, recover broken fleet vehicles, and ensure high-earning cabinets don't sit dead on parlor floors.

  • Haulers & Transporters: Coordinate deliveries, cabinet swaps, and warehouse-to-venue routes.

  • Sales Reps & Bagmen: Handle venue negotiations, territory deals, and coin box collection runs without bottlenecking your operations.

3. Block-Level Upgrades & Territory Control

During playtesting, a clear strategic need emerged: players needed ways to invest directly into the neighborhood grid beyond simply snapping up parlor real estate.

We have rolled out Block Upgrades. Once you establish control over a city block, you can construct specialized, high-impact district modifications.

[Inspecting a controlled Downtown Block and managing installed block modifications.]

[Selecting strategic block mods to increase regional muscle, street influence, or cash handling.]

Each block mod alters local simulation rules:

  • Outlaw Biker Clubhouse: Boosts maximum neighborhood Muscle to protect against aggressive rival incursions.

  • Graffiti Turf Tag: Establishes visual dominance and adds monthly Street Influence.

  • Quarters Laundromat: Provides passive utility for high-volume coin operations.

What’s Next: Preparing the Demo

With the primary production, territory, and field operations pipelines fully tied together, current development is focused entirely on packaging and polishing the upcoming public playable demo.

The city is almost ready for you.
