A patch on top of 0.5, led by the controller and toy-name reports on the forum. Thanks to everyone who posted.
Rebinding a button on Settings → Controller could leave your pad scrambled and the page impossible to leave. Opening an entry and pressing B — "back" on every other page — was taken as the new binding, which swapped A and B across the whole game; with them swapped, the same press re-opened the entry. A few more presses and the button that placed a toy had become respawn.
The prompt gives up on its own after a few seconds, so nobody is stuck on that page. Escape still cancels.
The page also answers to the pad's physical buttons, so a half-finished mapping can always be navigated and Restore defaults always reached.
Pad scrambled from before? Settings → Controller → Restore defaults puts it back.
DualSense, DS4 and Xbox pads were all affected the same way; the default mapping itself was never wrong. Also: the lift back up the tower in Endless had no working controller button. It is D-pad Up.
In the space store every toy carried the name of the toy-shop toy it replaces — an astronaut called "Grey tin soldier", a tentacle alien called "Brown ladybug". Underneath that, seven model families were covering eighteen departments, so bugs, puppets and blobs were the same five aliens, and eleven finished families were on no shelf at all: 130 of the 185 space models could be found.
Every department has its own family. All 185 models are in the shop, and no two aisles sell the same toy.
Toys are named after what they are: Red telescope, Purple ring station, Green moon flag.
The aisles that changed hands are signed for what they hold: Moons, Planets, Stars, Jetpacks, Meteors, Black holes, Stations, Saucers, Telescopes, Space gear and Flags.
This affected every mode in the space store. Saved runs are unaffected — the same toy still belongs to the same slot. The station's signs are translated now, and repaint when you change language mid-run.
New 8 lo-fi songsThe soundtrack, the baby sounds and the menu photos are re-encoded: about 27 MB off the download.
Sprint is always a run's first prize.
Each robot and drone shows how many toys it has shelved, kept per shop; co-op guests see the same numbers.
Jetpack and coin magnet are sold in the space store. The jetpack opens after the second gravity jump.
Choosing a map or starting a run shows a loading screen instead of a frozen menu.
The leaderboard footer says what it ranks: Endless floors only.
Steam and Discord presence names the shop you are playing in.
