Carnival Hunt Early Access Launch Details

Hello, everyone!

Carnival Hunt will enter Steam Early Access on July 23, 2026, launching at:

 8:00 AM PT | 10:00 AM CT | 11:00 AM ET | 5:00 PM CEST

The game will be available for $19.99 USD, with regional pricing applied depending on your country and currency. To celebrate the launch, Carnival Hunt will also be available with a 10% discount for a limited time.

Carnival Hunt is launching in Early Access, which means you may encounter occasional bugs, balancing issues, or areas that still need further refinement. The core gameplay mechanics are already in place and working, and we have done our best to test and improve the game together with our community ahead of launch.

Early Access is not the full release, but there is already plenty to experience and enjoy. During this stage, we will continue improving stability, refining balance, addressing player feedback, and expanding the game with additional content, including new maps, Monsters, and more. As Carnival Hunt grows with more content and moves closer to its full release, the price may increase. At launch, players will be able to experience two Hunters, along with multiple active, passive, and modifier gear upgrades that allow each character to be customized for different situations and playstyles.

Carnival Hunt takes a different approach to map design than many other games in the asymmetrical horror genre. Instead of using one completely fixed map layout, each match is built from modular blocks called rooms.

At launch, the game will include 32 rooms across several themes. These rooms are procedurally arranged into different layouts, which means the routes through the map, room connections, and the spaces players encounter can vary from one session to another. While the objectives may remain familiar, the changing layout requires players to adapt how they navigate the map, avoid danger, and work together.

Each new room added during Early Access will also expand the pool of possible combinations, allowing the map system to create a wider variety of layouts and situations over time.

We have an ambitious content plan for Early Access, and we currently aim to provide updates at approximately the following pace:

  • 1 to 3 new gear upgrades each month

  • 1 to 4 new rooms each month, depending on their size and complexity

  • 1 new Hunter every 3 to 6 months, with the goal of shortening this development period over time

  • New PvE experiences every 1 to 2 months

These are development targets rather than fixed promises, and the timing may change depending on testing, technical priorities, and what the game needs most. Alongside new content, we will continue fixing bugs, improving performance, refining balance, and developing the systems already available in the game.

We would also like to share a little more about an experimental feature currently using the working title Bunny Town. It won’t be available upon the game release into Early Access, but this is something that is being planned after the initial release.

Bunny Town is being designed as a shared community space where players can use resources earned from matches to build a small town together with friends and other players. You will be able to develop and decorate your own corner of the town with interior and exterior items, invite friends to visit, and explore spaces created by other members of your community.

The feature is still experimental and will continue evolving during development, but we are excited about its potential to give players something meaningful to build together outside of regular matches.

While we have many ideas for expanding Carnival Hunt, our highest priority throughout Early Access will remain the quality of the core experience. Balance, stability, and fair competition between the two roles will always come first, even within a genre built around intentionally different abilities and objectives.

We are incredibly excited to finally open the carnival to everyone. Whether you have been following the game for years or have only recently discovered it, we hope you will join us, share your feedback, and help us shape the future of Carnival Hunt.

A Special Thank You to Our Supporters

Carnival Hunt would not have reached this point without the people who believed in the project and supported us throughout its development.

As a special thank-you, Kickstarter backers from the Early Carnival Enjoyer tier and above, as well as players who purchased Carnival Hunt through the Crytivo Store, will receive codes by email for two exclusive Bunny cosmetics:

  • Black Bunny Makeup

  • White Bunny Makeup

The codes will be sent to the email address connected to your Kickstarter pledge or Crytivo Store purchase, so please keep an eye on your inbox early next week.

These makeups are our way of recognizing the people who helped make Carnival Hunt possible. We truly appreciate your patience, encouragement, feedback, and continued support throughout this journey.

Thank you for being part of Carnival Hunt. We cannot wait to welcome you into the carnival on July 23, and we hope you enjoy the game!
