Mcat Reader v0.2.0 Beta will be released within this week.
This is a major version that has been completely rewritten—we have revisited nearly every corner of the app and thoroughly reviewed and strengthened all features. As a result, the user experience after this update will be drastically different from the previous version.
Due to the sheer scale and breadth of the changes, we cannot guarantee that every detail will be flawless.
To avoid impacting users still on the stable version, this v0.2.0 will be released as a separate test branch first, allowing you to try out the new features while also helping us gather real-world feedback.
Here are a few things to note about the test version:
🔹 Incompatible with old data
The new version will not be compatible with previous data. Please be sure to back up important content in advance.
🔹 New content
This release introduces many new features—please refer to the actual experience for specifics.
🔹 You may encounter…
Including but not limited to: unstable functionality, untranslated UI text, occasional crashes, etc. If you have high requirements for daily stability, please carefully consider whether to join the test.
🔹 Your feedback is crucial
If you encounter any issues or have suggestions for improvement, feel free to reach out to us via the community or email.
We are fully aware that a large-scale rewrite inevitably comes with uncertainties, but in order to go further, this refactoring is necessary.
Thank you all for your patience and support all along.
