Dear flow friends, I've been quietly polishing FlowTrak for months. Listening to your feedback, refining features, adjusting the rhythm of work and rest. Here's what's new.Steam knows which games you play — but what about the non-Steam apps that fill your day? Coding in VS Code, editing in Premiere, designing in Figma, browsing, reading. Where does all that time go?FlowTrak was built to answer that question. It automatically tracks how long you spend in every application on your PC and connects app activity, focused tasks, and Steam Rich Presence into a timeline you can look back on.The Next Fest Demo is live now — all core features are available to try.

Automatic App Usage Tracking

FlowTrak silently tracks how long you use each application, intelligently distinguishing active usage from idle time. Everything is stored locally with encryption — no data uploaded to any server (optional Steam Cloud sync will be available in the full version).

  • Dashboard: total usage time, focus score, and top apps at a glance

  • App management with automatic detection — get started without manual setup

  • Track app time by category with support for custom date ranges

  • Session timeline: replay your day's app switching frame by frame

Turn Any App Into Your Steam Status

This is FlowTrak's signature feature. It syncs your current app, playing music, task status, and timer state to your Steam Rich Presence in real time — letting friends know what you're doing, not just what you're playing.

  • Display your current app, now-playing music, latest task, and timer status

  • Emojify Presence: auto-adds emoji to your Steam status text

  • Three display modes: merged, carousel, and automatic switching

  • One-click privacy mode (enabled by default — toggle it on to show window titles)

Task Management & Focus Timer

A built-in task manager deeply integrated with a multifunction timer. Start focusing from your task list in one click.

  • Subtasks, Markdown notes, and priority marking

  • Pomodoro / countdown / stopwatch — three timer modes

  • Short breaks, long breaks, and multiple Pomodoro cycles

  • Flow Score: quantify how focused each session really was

  • Task reminder notifications so nothing slips through

Overlay Clock

A customizable on-screen clock that stays on top of borderless fullscreen games. Keep an eye on the time, your Pomodoro, or countdown without alt-tabbing.

  • 3 frosted-glass background effects

  • Text effects and system font support

  • Drag-to-position and resize in edit mode

  • Click-through mode with auto-hide — zero screen real estate anxiety

Lightweight Mode

One click to destroy the UI while background services keep running, reducing memory usage by up to ~90%. Perfect for gaming or high-performance scenarios.

More Highlights

  • Auto-start behavior modes: System Startup & Steam Startup

  • Global hotkeys for instant access anytime

  • Auto-detect apps — no manual configuration needed

  • Local encrypted storage with backup and restore options

Recent Updates

  • Auto-start behavior modes: System Startup and Steam Startup

  • New "Atmospheric Glass" blur style for the Overlay Clock

  • Support for hiding to-do items

  • Multiple performance optimizations and stability improvements

---The Demo is live on Steam Next Fest right now — core features are fully functional and it's being actively updated. If you love tinkering with Steam Rich Presence, or just want to finally understand where your computer time goes, give it a try.
