AquaDesk Update 2.0.1 — Mode shortcuts, better swimming, fish display tweaks

Switch display modes with keyboard shortcuts

Settings now has a “Keyboard shortcuts” section. Turn it on, and a single key press switches between Aquarium mode, Fish-watching mode, Wallpaper mode and Mini tank mode. It works even while you’re using another app, and pressing the current mode’s key again takes you back to Aquarium mode.

The default keys are ⌃⌥⌘+1–4 on Mac and Ctrl+Alt+F1–F4 on Windows. Click a key box to record any keys you like, and “Restore defaults” brings the originals back at any time.
Note: shortcuts are off at first. Turn on “Switch display modes with keys” in Settings.

Better swimming

Improved how fish move when they swim toward the back or front of the tank, and how they look when they swim across one another.

Fish display tweaks

Adjusted fish sizes and the way they grow bigger as they develop.

And more

  • On some Windows setups, the palette’s edges were cut off when the text size was enlarged. This is now fixed.

  • Improved the Chinese (Simplified and Traditional) translations.
