Today we come to you with a big update — and one you have been asking for a very long time.
Steam Workshop support is finally here!
You can now conveniently download ready-made modifications from the Workshop and publish your own mods for other Rulers to try.

Creating, sharing, and discovering mods is now much easier.
If you are not sure how to create your own modification, take a look at our modding guide.
It explains the process in detail and should help you get your first mod ready for publication.
More options for modders
Alongside Workshop support, we have expanded the possibilities available to mod creators.
You can now:
- Change images used for events and political decisions.
- Customize a resource's color, name, and description.
- Customize names and descriptions for buildings.
- Customize names and descriptions for technologies.
- Use up to 12 technology levels in modifications, increased from the previous limit of 8.
We have also made working with mods a little safer and clearer:
- Added modification validation during loading, with a clear error window explaining detected problems.
- Fixed various bugs related to modifications.
- Fixed errors with reforms in the World War I scenario on the World Map.
A reminder about our new visuals
Not long ago, we also released an update in which we completely replaced the game's artwork following your feedback.
If you enjoy Warnament's new visual style and would like to support the game, you can also check out our cosmetic DLC.
It unlocks more than 25 additional visual elements and in-game animations, giving your armies and interactions with other countries a more distinctive appearance. These cosmetic changes are visible to other players as well, so your forces can bring their new style onto the multiplayer map too.
