Hey everyone, long time no see!
I'm happy to finally share that a demo for Who Murdered My Empress? is now live. If you've had the game on your wishlist (or wandered over here from somewhere else — more on that below) and weren't sure if it's your thing, now you can try before you buy.
If you're coming from House of Petals — welcome! I think you'll vibe with WMME. It's got just as much spice (arguably more 👀) and plenty of mystery and intrigue to sink into. The one thing to know going in: WMME's story is more kinetic than HoP's, so don't expect the same level of branching — but the drama, the suspects, and the romance are all still very much there.
This demo is milestone one on the roadmap for the game. It's not the end of the road — I've got a content update with a brand-new extra story planned for later this year, so there's more romance to come (and as you might now from our previous updates, it's with Thanh Tung!)
And the timing happens to line up nicely: Steam's Summer Sale is on right now, so if the demo hooks you, the full game is discounted too.
Last but not least — to everyone who's played, loved, and stuck with this game over the past two years: thank you. WMME has had a much longer life than I ever expected when I first launched it, and that's entirely because of you. It means a lot.
