Hello Everyone!
Thanks a lot for you continued interest in DIVEBOMB:Weaponized Racing. Now that critical fixes are out of the way (at least for now), I bring you the Heavy Traffic Update!
Watch out for planes and heavy trucks!
Aurora Aerospace is now a fully functioning aerospace port! Walls and other contestants are not the only thing between you and victory. Planes now roam the runways, taxiing, landing and taking off!
In the heart of the Freeland, the interstate road in Orion Biotechnics is now full of self-driving, armored heavy trucks that only have one goal: to not get hijacked! They will not stop for anything including you! So watch out for these heavy tanks that will crush anything on their path.
Traps Are More Visible
With feedback from you, I have added trap icons on top of traps and mines! You can now see what kind of a trap is put down and can easily spot them!
What is Coming?
Now that heavy traffic is implemented, next major update will include light traffic, that are smaller civilian vehicles that are no match for your armored speed machines. They won't be indestructible like heavy traffic but still, a collision is a collision!
Version Naming Change
From now on, in order to convey that the Demo is still in alpha, the versions will include the state before the version number.
Demo Version alpha 1.1:
Gameplay:
Added Heavy Traffic, that are indestructible moving obstacles in some tracks.
Reshaped colliders in Aurora Aerospace for more accurate collisions.
Added icons on top of mines to increase visibility.
Changed the oil trap mine shape to be more distinctive compared to shockwave mine.
Added one more event to the FreeNet Terminal and restructured the ordering of the events to make it easier for first time players now that the tournament (where there are no restarts) is supposed to be played after the player learns the fundamentals in simpler single events with restarts enabled.
Fixes:
Fixed an issue that caused inconsistent collisions at high speeds.
Fixed an issue that caused distorted sounds on certain weapons.
Fixed an issue that caused car scratches to be visually in very different places than the collision.
Fixed an issue that caused scratches and bullet holes to spawn on wheels.
