Warlondor Beta Playtest is now out!

The core gameplay loop is now fully playable, and while there is still a lot more planned, this is an important step for us.

Most of all, we want to know how the game feels to play. If something feels confusing, frustrating, too easy, too hard, or if you have ideas for where the game should go next, please share your feedback with us on Discord or in the Steam Community Hub. Your thoughts will help shape Warlondor into the best version it can be.

What to expect

  • Full roguelike runs where you make decisions between combats, build your team over time, and prepare for weekly bosses. Each run currently takes around 2–3 hours to complete.

  • 5 unique player-controlled heroes, each with 4 specializations, featuring hundreds of skills, passives, talents, and possible combinations.

  • A unique take on turn-based combat that plays more like a hybrid between real-time and traditional turn-based systems.

  • Flexible hero builds where characters are not locked into one-dimensional roles. Build around what the game offers you, or experiment with your own strategies.

  • Stable and polished core gameplay, with a few placeholder assets still present.

What not to expect

  • No in-depth tutorial yet. However, most mechanics are explained through tooltips. You can also hold ALT to see more details on certain tooltips.

  • No save system yet. Your settings are saved, but once you start a run, you currently need to finish it or abandon it.

  • No co-op multiplayer in this release. That said, the game is being built with separately controlled heroes in mind, and you may notice some foundations for that during play.

  • No meta-progression yet. The current version is balanced around this, so each run is designed to stand on its own.
