Hello everyone! Thank you for your feedback. This update gives every treat its own little purpose and brings several improvements to everyday life with your companion.
- Six treats, six needs: three new treats join the pantry. Food, water, energy, play, affection or grooming: choose the one your cat needs, with its effects shown before you give it.
- Rebalanced care: affection and grooming need more regular attention while playing. Petting and treat reserves refill faster, and all six needs now contribute equally to happiness.
- Clearer weight information: the pantry separates normal growth from extra weight gained through treats and explains its effect on happiness. That extra weight gradually goes away, even while the game is closed; pausing also pauses its recovery.
- Clearer bowl interactions: if your cat needs to sleep, drink or eat first, its bubble now correctly shows that priority. Daily activity descriptions also explain why your cat may wait before approaching a bowl.
- A more faithful desktop preview: see your wallpaper and your cat in the placement preview to help arrange accessories. Removing platforms with the keyboard has also been fixed.
- More convenient menus: clearer navigation, several layout fixes and a Quit button in the Atelier that saves your latest changes before closing the game. It is also available on the save protection screen.
- Keeping your companion’s story: compatibility with older saves has been improved to preserve your cats, progress, purchases and settings across updates.
Thank you for your patience and for helping us improve My Desktop Cat.
