New features

Settlements

  • 0.6.6: Colonies with suitable land and supplies can grow. Population readouts separate births from losses to age, illness, accidents, hereditary disease and the environment. Shelter readouts identify buildings left without enough workers.
  • 0.6.7: The gene clinic uses the finite cryogenic gamete bank brought down from the ship to widen the colony’s gene pool. It costs salvage, needs staffing and competes with other structures for maintenance. Once the bank is spent, it cannot provide further diversity.

Colony landscapes

  • 0.6.8: Layered terrain, vegetation, weather and moving activity enrich colony views. Buildings reflect the settlement’s development and condition. Hycean and Eyeball worlds gain distinct environments and animated map art.
  • 0.6.9–0.6.10: New terrain includes glacial walls, polar shelves, deep moon craters, broad desert buttes, western woodland and under-ice basins. Twenty sky, weather and ground treatments add variety across nine planet families.
  • Saved moons, stars and gas giant parents agree between planet zoom-out, landfall and settled views. Environmental selections stay with the saved planet.
  • 0.6.11: Fine film grain adds texture to landfall and settled scenes while retaining planet colours and small colony details.

Writing

  • Revised colony events and endings describe settlement work, choices and history.

Bug fixes

  • Grounded plants that appeared suspended above arid canyons across all current arid landscape variants.
  • Planet temperatures better match their climates. Moon rain and snow follow atmosphere, water and temperature; dry or airless moons remain clear.
  • Colony buildings retain their recorded models through decline and save reloads. Cloud boundaries, ice auroras, volcanic detail and terrain contacts have been improved.
  • Added Russian translation credit for Ignat "awhitefox" Kuzmin.

Still in flight

  • More environmental variants will be added gradually, including further jungle terrain and vegetation. Unassigned variants retain their baseline landscapes.
  • Broader animation and camera-pan review continues.
