v1.1.6

  • One game, a folder per machine. A game you added yourself can now hold several save folders per platform, tried in order until one exists, so a single entry covers your PC and your Steam Deck instead of needing a separate one on each. Add folders from the game's own page; the order you put them in is the order we look in.

  • Games you added on your PC now find their saves on the Steam Deck. A game you add yourself stores a real Windows folder path, and on the Deck that named a user profile no Proton prefix could ever contain, so the game resolved nowhere until you added a Linux folder by hand. We now translate it properly. This finds a save folder that already exists in the prefix, so it covers "I've already played this on the Deck"; for a fresh install, add the folder for that platform.

  • A game that can't find its folder is no longer hidden from the list. The one row whose page carries the fix was being filtered out of the default view, which is exactly the game you were looking for. It also stops telling you to "launch the game once so it creates its save folder" for a game you added yourself, that was never the problem, and it now points you at Change folder instead.

  • Fixed: a sign-in loop on the Steam Deck, and on any Linux machine with no password keychain running. The app is supposed to fall back to a local file in that case; a dependency update changed how "there is no keychain here" is reported and the fallback stopped triggering, so signing in, including the Steam auto-login, failed every time. If you were stuck on this, you are unstuck.

  • Fixed: a game you added yourself could only ever have its folder set on the platform you created it on, and the button to fix that was hidden behind the very bug that needed it. The page now says "Not set on this platform" instead of claiming your saves weren't found.

  • Fixed (Linux): a save file whose name can't be written down portably, odd bytes, or a backslash in the name, used to be dropped from the backup silently, leaving you with an incomplete backup that reported success. It now fails the backup and names the file, so you can rename it or leave it out of the save. Windows is unaffected.
